We are at 5/8 resistance on monthly chart + 61.8 AB-CD target + yearly pivot area, on the weekly chart 1.27 extension is at 1.3970. I know people are not trading the higher timeframes but its good to know where the levels are. It is natural to expect a bounce from this area in the form of any pattern or just trading off 1.3830 level in the smaller timeframes. Its not the best place to go long unless is some type of scalping trade with tight stops.

Morgan stanley Spot FX desk update for those interested. Can post Deutsche's if anyone wants, but its pretty similar.

Morgan Stanley London Spot Desk:

EURUSD: Support - 1.3750, 1.3710, 1.3640 Resistance - 1.3835, 1.3870, 1.3970 Attempts lower continue to be met with demand and as such we remain pinned towards the highs. No real change in view from me here from yesterday, still think things are a bit stretched for now thus I favour trading tactically for a correction looking for the RSI’s to flip back into neutral territory. Topside still constrained by the 1.3835 fibo level I spoke of yesterday which should continue to frustrate longs ahead of the German Ifo data at 9.00 BST. Remain small short here.


AUD: Support - 0.9570 Resistance - 0.9630
AUD/NZD: Support - 1.15 Resistance - 1.1620 Well advertised strikes in AUD today at 0.96 will keep spot contained in a 0.9570-0.9630 range. Overall, I don't see a clear trade here. For choice, sell rallies on the day, but this market remains pretty random. Maintaining longs in AUD/CAD. In kiwi, I don't think Wheeler's comments were all that groundbreaking, but a dovish Fed allows other central banks to adopt less aggressive stances. As a result, yields came off a bit, but I don't think it's something we chase in the currency. If anything, look to buy dips in AUD/NZD down to 1.15.


JPY: Support - 96.50 Resistance - 98
USD/JPY following the performance of Asian stock markets, particularly the Nikkei which has put in some dismal performances of late. With US 10s at 2.51 I don't really see a catalyst for USD/JPY to rally. Talk of large Japanese bids on a 96 handle are preventing us from collapsing, but I get the impression the market is long more than the locals have to buy. Looks like we will soon be testing this theory. Square here, no interest in fighting the dollar move at present.


USDCAD: Support - 1.0380, 1.0300 Resistance - 1.0420, 1.0450 Repeptive but an important shift from the BofC on wednesday and I still see value in being short CAD. I remain core long USDCAD and look to add on dips, 1.0380-90 the first level I am bearing in mind. Short term stops were done through 1.0420 yesterday. In addition, I saw good buying interest from real money names towards the London close. Also looking to buy EURCAD on dips today, 1.3320-30 first level I am watching then 1.4250 level below.


EURSEK: Support - 8.75, 8.7250 Resistance - 8.80, 8.82
EURNOK: Support - 8.08, 8.05 Resistance - 8.16, 8.1850 After all that, pretty much nothing out of either the Riksbank or Norges bank yesterday. So where does that take the scandies from here? In my opinion, we return back to the boredom that is range trading on the wides 8.70-8.82 in EURSEK and 8.05-8.1650 in EURNOK. Only point of interest is the forward-looking data out of Sweden this morning at 8:15am London time. ETS and confidence data have been the only bright spots in a plethora of weak prints for Sweden recently. In my opinion, the technical set-up is pretty clear with the daily trendline closing level at 8.7990 today, on weak data preference is to buy EURSEK and then use this level as a strict stop. On a weaker or in-line print, tactically biased to sell EURSEK on rallies for the day, once again utilising the mentioned level as topside stop for shorts.

Completely agree bro.. I have a nice long in usdcad from 1.0345 and I'm looking for a break above yearly high. She can move 3-400 pips straight once she starts going. its usually a straight line and also with oil tanking it should be a nice trade
