Later if the world will be selling CHF, Swiss bank will be buying CHF (to keep currency rate) and they will just press button DELETE. Logically it should be stop this level: friday, with US sthudown and debt ceiling not solved. and generally risk off sentiment.

Swiss regulator investigates possible FX rate rigging

FXstreet.com (London) - The Swiss financial regulator, FINMA, has announced today that it is investigating possible manipulation of FX rates.

In a short press release, FINMA said:
“FINMA is currently conducting investigations into several Swiss financial institutions in connection with possible manipulation of foreign exchange markets. FINMA is coordinating closely with authorities in other countries as multiple banks around the world are potentially implicated. FINMA will give no further details on the investigations or the banks potentially involved.”

Accordign to Oanda open positions (http://fxtrade.oanda.com/analysis/fo...r-book#EUR/CHF) a lot of short positon was opened in the last 24 hours.

Now is starting to covering...

I think the reason is simple, clearing out as much as possible longs (encourage shorts with tech figures) before shooting up (post of multi888 and mine 11266)

IMO, Looking on how this pair more correlated with USDCHF move in last several months. This move up is because Yesterday, Boehner had pledge not to let US to go default on debt ceiling, hence USD regain strength after that.

Looks like the market was positioning for a deal to be done over the weekend then.

I reckon the market is now going to start sending a message to the USA to sort themselves out meaning yen stronger and swissie also.
