I support this idea although it really looks very bullish. Moving higher than .6140 - .6160 today is very unlikely cos we don't have any heavy news left for today (if Carney or Ben don't have in their pocket something else for weekend).

After Carney it got hit with supply at .6120 - .6130 resistance area. On the other hand if it goes lower today, I'm not really sure if we see .5960 today cos it will make some pips greatly over daily range which is somewhere 90 pips atm. But on days where we see fast and large moves it is possible though.

not sure we will see price higher than today.. unless of course if there's breakout of 6160.. just atm seems unlikely..

Kind of interesting that they also predicted Aussie to go to 80 and Kiwi below 74 and none happened.
When key Bank is announcing their prediction 1.68 I tend to think they plan shorting heavy.

Market manipulations daily nothing has changed in trading.Carney spilling crap in article is prime example.I bet he had his family, friends geared up for the article release.

If you are Bear like me we had no correcting move yet and historically price does not go straight up.I am looking 5660 38.2 Fib correction.
Assuming price does not go any higher. I see 62 as key level and most likely turn around harmonically.

I agree re bank predictions but take no conspiracy led view about their motivations as it doesn't affect my trading which is via a technically derived edge - I take no notice therefore except that they perhaps add into a growing narrative that has been gaining ground in recent weeks - all of which has been generally £ positive. From Carney's forward guidance to his comments reported today re Qe and the generally improving data coming out of Uk and the Fed's cancellation/postponement of the much anticipated Sept-taper...this is where I think the bears have been naive - they have ignored the technical picture with growing opa uptrends on subsequently higher t/f's up to weekly now, and mis-read the fundamentals.

Short term till year end I think the outlook remains technically and fundamentally generally bullish with the proviso's of the U.s debt ceiling developments and any Oct-taper, Nov-taper, Dec-taper from the Fed or hints thereto, and of course the usual data reactions from both Uk and U.s data releases, as well as anything currently un-anticipated/un known that may come out of left field.

None of us know what will happen in the future and the real advantage of being a technical trader is - we don't have to - we just trade what we see happening - not what we think may happen.
