Lol yeh - so much for the so called ' Septaper ' few to us by Goldman etc for last few weeks....and if Yellen gets appointed Fed Chair - well.....

I read an article in FF the other day saying "sorry Wall Street Yellen is no dove" lol...
As the crisis and printing continues, the lies just get more and more obvious.
How much further down the distorted path of the rediculous can they possibly go?

In regards Yellen. I thought I read yesterday that Beneake was staying on, as it's not fair passing on a shit sandwich to someone else or something along thoses lines. Or is the FED chair for a fixed maximum term only.

Who knows,

It's quite unreasonable to put faith in anything spewed out along the news wires anymore.

For all I know Ben could be an alien, nothing would surprise me from here on out...

Yeh agree. Just generally re the fundies...as a tech trader it's a case of trade what you see - if price goes down - there is more selling volume than buying and vice versa.....the event risks (data releases, fed announcements, speeches etc...) can point to the greater probability on an intraday (and sometimes longer basis) and sometimes the prevailing overall fundie environment does too - but sometimes it is not that clear.

I think a common mistake I see here and elsewhere is traders try and get involved in the direction on any given instrument as may be clear/greater probability from the overall fundie environment on too small a t/f and get shaken out by the oscillation in price.

I've added Goldman and co. to my tool box of newly acquired contra-indicators. When my charts say buy and the banks come out and say sell, that's all the confirmation I need and I simply add more buys. On cable (which is all I really try to trade) and Euro and Gold, it never fails
And I am actually very serious about this, I am not joking, this is NOT a drill.

and yes it looks like range/consolidation but you know... patterns are just illusions if not substained by market, so let's see what will come out from next sessions --> reversals sometimes happen in situations like this one! but maybe a bit higher

I might stay up to watch US news...

Goldman said they expect to see 1.68 on this pair, but they also put a bet each way saying they expect USD to strengthen through to end of the year, so might just have to run with the play book on this one and she how she goes....
