now do you see why I close my positions ahead of carney speech? god damn banks are going to spike this thing up to flush out all the stops from people shorting the GBPUSD, too much people are in short the GBP expecting GBPUSD to fall big time, these poor day traders getting flushed out...
im staying out and looking for opportunity to short the GBPUSD again if it presents

This is why day-trading GBPUSD is a terrible idea, you will get chewed up and spat out by these kind of moves. I learned my lesson after Carney's last speech lol.

i agree, its always difficult to trade data from d uk, in fact i never trade it, if im in a position i close it b4 d data comes out, cos d move are usually sudden or spiky, even when u have a pending order, u cant be guaranteed it will be accurately filled.

Indeed, it's quite a move. This is also why I don't trade GBP on days like this. I made that mistake once and almost blew an account.
I've also learned not to be pissed when I miss a move like that, it can be in your favor, but it can also do the opposite. There will always be new opportunities.
Made my trades for today, everything is closed now so I'm going out.

Take out their SL's and lure some into longs. Brokers must rub their hands together with moments like this.
