I would say that 10 years yields at 4.50% do not represent an alarming element for Italy at the moment, as it's luckily inside the Euro area. Maybe we should concentrate on those countries with worst problems, as India and Indonesia.

Price at time of writing –
My recent update on gold in May, with a follow up in early June, recommended selling the metal short, with a downside target price defined at $1275.


In the event, the price dipped beneath this support, eventually achieving a low in late June at $1180. As a result, my recommendation reverted to neutral.
The subsequent rally from this low has taken gold up by a Gann-theory-derived 16.66% thus far, and it remains to be seen whether this rise is sufficient for now. In the short-term, the rally is likely to falter at either the current level, following this 16.66% rise, or at $1475 following a rise of 25%. Furthermore, this recent advance has taken the price back to the rising 12x1 time-angle (derived from the low in October 2008, and displayed on the chart in red). This, too, adds weight to the argument that a pull-back may be approaching.
Although GOLD has a long-term target band defined as $2548-2585, the higher risk currently involved in the trade does not suggest now is the time to buy. The trigger point for this trade requires a break above $1720. Meanwhile, traders may buy gold on any pull-back to the support at $1280.
Recommendation: neutral. Short-term traders may buy on a pull-back to $1280. The target then becomes $1574.

structurally, one could easily argue that countries like Italy, Spain or Greece have much more structural problems than the EM world. They are getting hit by hot money flows at the moment but that is merely transitory and may push India's GDP down to 5% (note, that is still pretty high considering).

so while 450bps isn't that high at the moment, for a country that has no growth and already crippling debt, its worse than indonesia with 850bps

monthly close looming, quite often get some nasty movement as with any candle close, can reap many quick pips but also lose many pips, so need to be patient, very careful and keep every thing tight or stay on the sidelines, some very big levels in play

I think pre London will pop us up to 1.3415 then we will make a lower low on 4 hour testing 1.3360's today and usd is at support forming the inverse h and s currently... but eur usd looks like a butterfly sell to me... although its going to have a fight at around 1.3354 area where people are going to try and form inverse head and shoulders on the euro usd

You may like to make it 1.3422 and then 1.3480, but the most reliable timeframe Daily is still not clear to me.

I like West... that is what I've been looking at for a while anyhow on my chart EU/USD....(may I use the term West from now on or do U have a "copywright") ps I also like ur explanation...i wont include a smiley ...will that cost me a "Big V" ?

Just went south a bid..got my 1.tp at .3377...still short a couple from mid high .3380's ...
