UCad Long Trade: This week I also added long Scouts #11 to #13. These were added to put more account reserves to work in anticipation of an upwards break. It did not come. Instead, the MMs continued their price swinging to suck in shorts to add longs, and to suck in longs and then stop them out to add longs.

from my reading thru the thread , i could find the main issue is the DD : WHICH WE SHALL WORK HARD TO MANAGE IT !
It will help us also if we can adapt PVSRA so we can start position building not too early : I mean , to keep the DD lowest as possible.

I was thinking about using Elliott Wave counting ( on Daily / 4 HR Charts ) so we can keep our trading within the bigger framework.

Anyhow : Tah , may you share your latest account stats please : how many trades / seeds you have now ? What is the size of each seed you have right now ? What DD in pips you have at the moment ? What was your account size before this latest round of seeding ? what is the account size at the moment ?
I'll appreciate sharing such stats : it will help us and it will guide me for my Money Management.

I think it ts too early to ask such things from senior member, you are new here, plus seeing your posts new to forex. Man post some stuff try the system, then start asking people such things. TAH doing it purely educative. I would never gave my accounts stats to no one. What makes you think that TAH will?

The following are the results of my trading the Sonic R. System using PVSRA to determine if it is a bull or bear market, and then trading the price action I see.

Twenty Week Summary

90,918 pips banked.
20,830 pips current draw down (net loss of all open PVSRA trades).
70,108 pips net gain (pips banked plus net loss of all open PVSRA trades).
3,505 pips weekly average net profit (weekly average net profit if all open PVSRA trades instantly closed).

Additional Remarks

I have one open non-PVSRA trade (first entered many months prior to PVSRA) that is down 13,205 pips (EJ short). For this trade to come into profit either the euro needs to weaken or the YEN needs to strengthen, or both. And both are more likely to happen than not. So, it is just a question of time. In any case, if I instantly closed this trade against my PVSRA net gains, I would still have 2,845 pips weekly average net profit over these past twenty weeks! I doubt there are many traders at ForexFactory that can testify to such success as this, if any at all. I say this not to boast about myself, but about PVSRA. It is an effective real-time market analysis, so effective that it negates the old "truth" advocated by some, that one should never average down. It enables traders to trade the way professional traders do,.......and profit the way they do!

Final Remarks

This is the fifth week in a row the market has continued it's ranging and continued it's shakeout of weak hands for some pairs. My plan remained unchanged. I continued adding to some open trades when PVSRA indicated good opportunities. I only opened one new trade with three parts. It was the only trade that closed this week, and it closed because I was stupid and set a SL! Those that are open are still suffering draw downs, but the tide seems now to be turning. The "state of draw down affairs" that intimidates traders and tests the validity of PVSRA is still running it's course.

Again : my point is that we build position too early : we can get better average price and lower DD by using EW as our framework.

With all respect, for what reason do you need his account details, you want him naked in front of us, your request is shameless.

Nobody should share these infos public. Private account details are not relevant for learning. It is not relevant if tah or anybody else here is trading live or demo with whatever account size. I suspect you are asking for his account details because of the huge amount of trades and his taken risk. So what, again, that is his account and risk, may be he is playing monopoly demo or he has an 424.557 USD live account, who cares? You and anybody else are not entitled to ask for this, it is simple indiscreet.

You know how much money you have, that is the only important info you need for calculating your amount of traded pair, lot sizes and trade elements.

Just think it is simple. You just apply it in your real account and will see the result. If you lose, it's just a fee for education and experience. From your fail, you will learn.

After setting first couple of seeds I am trying to use stop orders every other position
This helps with DD and hopefully orders will be hit on the run for profits.
Unfortunately when market is ranging like this stop orders are hit any way at a slightly worse price.
Just an idea that we might be able to work with

Good for you 00live that's the way to go! Geez at last somebody else is using a little "grey matter"

You are thinking sensibly about how you will implement PVSRA. All traders should do this and share their experiences. That way the collective gains from a lot of smart people sharing knowledge and experience so my advice would be go ahead and so it sharing your trades here. Publishing your orders and results you could end up making a significant contribution to the thread. Fresh eyes and ideas will always be welcome so go ahead and do it. I await developments with interest. Meantime on stats TAH has published enough for you to work out everything you need. You can see his drawdown is 20,000 pips plus and he still has headroom to trade. For me I work on basis of up to 20 positions that could go down by an average of 300 pips each. That gives DD of 6000 pips for each pair traded. Say 8 pairs so 48000 pips. Add to that margin requirements which might double it so say an account 100,000 times your pip size would be good. If you have a micro account then each pip is about 0.10 dollars US. So 10,000 dollars would be good. Steep? Restrict yourself to 4 pairs with 10 lots max - 2500 dollars US. This account size should enable you to sleep at night during those DD periods all systems have. All IMHO and I know plenty people are doing this with less but if you want to succeed be ultra cautious, build slowly and take out profit along the way - ideally get your seed capital locked away out of harms reach ASAP!

Hi all, pvrsa is a viable method to trade. As long as u can achieve a positive expected value, u can make a profit.
if u have a method that gives a 50% success rate, u can still make money with proper money management. Eg 1:2 risk reward. Risk $X and cut loss once stop loss is reached, take profit when u r $2X in the money.

E(R) = (0.5 x -$1) + (0.5 x +$2) = +$0.5

there have been many valuable contributors on this thread & we can agree that we have learnt plenty. But instead of pouncing on a contributor when he is losing money, I think there is more value in looking at how a trade could have been better handled or the best course of action given the current situation. If its time to cut & be a loser, cut. Live to trade another day.

We r all f&£ked up traders, that's why we r still posting, while successful ones have stopped. Lets learn together to progress instead of highlighting or hiding mishandled trades.

anyhow : I still feel that we are start building too early so we have bigger DD , we shall find a better way to lower such DD by building positions not too early , am I wrong ? for me : I guess that using EW ( on bigger timeframes like 4h , daily ) shall help us .. correct me if worng ?!

and : for those whom saying that if we got trendy markets ( supposed that we are on the long side of the trade ) : it does not mean that we will finish Losers : you can for example withdraw partial profits every 2 - 3 months ( while markets are calm and softy ) so even if your account got blown on some black swan then you are not totally loser !! It is just a probabilities game : keep your white cent for your black day !

I will try to post my ideas about best chances for positioning as time allows.

Since this is a daily, Condisering the price action It looks like it is currently a run for proffit for previous bull building. Wait for consolidation and weakness for signs of incoming Bear before putting in your short seeds. Monitor M1 for high volume PA buying above key SR followed by heavy selling as prices gradually increase. Start building your shorts late into the game.
