EU Update and analysis on SR: The yellow boxes indicate the whole and quarter SRs that they have been hammering for quite awhile. We are in an area of accumulation. The constant gyrations up and down is to collect more shorts, lure in longs, and take out stops. We must consider where price came from in order to understand the actions within this accumulation area. In fact, doesn't it LOOK like prices will go up? If that's the case, MOST traders will go long, but why oh why does it keep stopping right above these key SRs and dropping. Because they are on the other side with heaving SELLING, when everyone is buying.

Let's say you have 1k account, 1:50 leverage, and trading 0.01 lots (the smallest) on a regular account. Meaning, this is $1000 (0.01 x 100,000 standard lot size).
Assume we are using margin call and trading manually without SL. First, you like to define your ultimate DD as let's say 50%. Then you have 50% margin for trades, or 500. Assuming margin for the pair is 30, then you have 500/30 = 16 scouts available to use up half of your margin. Now, how many pips do it have to move before margin call? Easy enough, 0.01 lots is about 0.1 pip per trade. So now for 16 scouts, we have $1.6/pip. 500/1.6 = 312 pips against us before margin call. And that's assuming from the average price. Assuming you've been placing your trades equally spaced, then you would have to be down 600 pips before margin call. You can play around with the numbers to your desired taste.
