Funny that I had my 6 shorts TP at 5080 but closed them at 5140 only to see all of them hit the target.
I am working on letting my orders to reach max gain and sometimes even letting it ride over a week but sudden surge on Thurs up confused me so I thought lets take something rather nothing but still I feel as a trader this is one area that I need work to improve.
To me it is just as much painful not collecting as losing.

Hi Davit,

Let me ask you a question. Would you have been more comfortable letting your position stay open if it was only 3 lots? Or maybe 2 lots?

My positions were medium level.I don't over trade.I used to scalp last year 15-60pips and had mediocre results 1st year of trading and after intensive research education I moved away from lower time frame started trading daily and weekly charts.
Beginning of this year I average 8-10% a month but some of the trades could of been better managed.
I am not perfect by any means.Frustrating part intuitively I understand what needs to be done I just need to execute them.

I read the book called "THE NEW MARKET WIZARDS" JACK D. SCHWAGER
in the book lot of top traders were feeling the same.Its the key to success for me as far as managing and letting it ride to max gain..
While in theory it makes sense in real world its difficult specially now when we got news coming up every day...
I just need to hone a fine balance.

No distortion - I quoted you and then I offered my take on it. You said "as much as", which I interpreted as "the same" and I was pointing out that it's supposed to be "more", not the same. Hope that clear it up

That's the beauty of having limits scattered in increments.In case of news you might get triggered and bounce up before you even wake up from sleep.Happens to me often like today on NZ long at 7770,woke up already in 17pips in profit.
I do want cable to drop below 48...more and better opportunity to go long.

Reality is expect unexpected.I also thought we may not see 90 on Aussie when it was 1060 or even 1012 but obviously markets can prove anyone wrong.

Is it upmost necessary to only use the 5 day ny close charts?

i noticed on different brokers metatrader 4 have different close times.


for example daiły closes at 12 pm ny time on oanda, while on fxcm it closes at 5pm ny time



Which charts are optimal to trade? 5pm ny close charts or the ones that close at 12pm ny time?
