OK, so after a wild goosechase of biblical proportions, I'm going to revive this thread for a few weeks from tomorrow. Same deal, combination of intraday to a few day long trades across anything that looks likely to make a move... Back to prep till London open tomorrow

OK, needed a bit more time to get myself together.

UY looks like it's sitting at the margins at 100.61 so longing from there this morning. I'm bearish gu/eu too, but looking for slightly better entries following a retrace.

AU looks good for a short too, looking at around 9715.

GU and EU OK for shorting for me now, assuming the heat's taken out of that long thrust up.

All good, taking half UY at 80 ish pips, moving to b/e and will leave for a while now. Leaving EU and GU to play out.

Closed the lot, the UY second half taking just 50, the GU in profit, the EU sunk. Not a bad day all told, could have noticed the EU lagging behind GU though and protected it earlier before it tanked.
Also, looking back I had a target for UY which I didn't take. Didn't make a great deal of difference in the scheme of things but when it's moving fast it tends to disappear fast too.

UCHF entered a long-standing long at 9526.
UY is decidedly bearish, but without sounding like one of those eternally hedging shills, it also has some room for topside too. I've scaled in short, add more at 100.60. Decided breaks of 100.80 (so breaking 100.90) means I'm wrong.

Realise these are conflicting directions on USD but I've different time horizons for them.

UCHF is dawdling, UY just closed for minor profit, looking to get short for a couple of days at a better level - as close to 100.80 as I can.

100.80 short on UY it is. Still looking quite powerful but I'm now short. UCHF motoring along, target 0.9630 but could be a day or two till we get there.

Out of UY with a minor bruise, there's eyewatering amounts of money riding on UY right now. Looks like the day's profits ride out with UCHF holding the fort.
Should UY get its act back together, I'm long from 99.48. Most likely though that's the lot till Monday

OK, UCHF looks cooked ahead of target. It may still yet creep up to 0.9630 but 0.9600 will do at this time on a Friday.

Monday it is. So because UCHF sunk right back down, I'm long again, out if it reaches beyond the lows (9500), and targeting 0.9630 again.
Glad I bailed on Friday night.

Looking at other pairs, I've been avoiding EU in the past few days because it's quite complex at the moment. Not seeing any real strength, but also supported around the lows 800-850 pretty heavily, so there's an agreed range that's trundling through making it tougher for me to trade.

GU is good for longs but not at this level. Have no idea if it will but interested in longs from 1.5145 because I the bottom should hold for now.
AU similarly good for shorts but I'd want to see around 0.9700 for a short from here.
And finally UY. Currently sat at the lows but my risk is down to 99.45, longs from there. Way off yet.

So the only open is uchf, everything else on limit.

Closed UCHF ahead of target for 45, moving a little too fast. Everything else pending.

On the plus side, I got out of UCHF at tight timing. On the downside, the AU trade ran and burned through, so did the UY, but I'm there and long at present. Unfortunately, client is out as I trade with a bit more flexibility, so I'm going to need some magic to pull back today's figures.

UY should be about done right now, though PA's not telling me the same. Short from 100.22 on the upthrust, out 30 above.

UCHF short from 9490. The UY looks wrong but I'm seeing it through.

So did a tally from the past month, just over 10% which is OK but considering the moves, could be a lot better.
Plus the past couple of days with the UY, in spite of calling it right was badly executed, and I'm currently in an ugly AU trade.

Crack on.

Looking for good opps for a long GU but appears to have taken off without me. 1.5225 would be excellent long.

UCAD, realise this is opposite in terms of dollar strength, but may take a while before we see it - Long ucad from 1.0275 / 248 (half and half), bailing much below 220.

UCHF still short this pair anywhere at the stops - 500 / 530, out 550...

Going for a tight long on UY right now.

Looking quite decent the UY trade. Gunning for 100.30 and if it gets there, I'm stopping and reversing. Everything else pending.

Right now, looking at GU and EU topping out and shorting.

But more interestingly, I've been sifting through my trade history and realised I can work a lot smarter than this. My strike rate (not total returned) is greater for higher risk trades. That's right - the ones with a bigger target (like 2:1, 3:1) are a higher strike rate than those at 1:1. And I figure out targets in advance.
By concentrating on fewer trades and leveraging them harder, I reckon I can earn more. I'm going to try it for this next month starting tomorrow, may take me a bit of time to figure out the longer term players, but certainly UY and EY are going to figure large.

And had, I been paying attention yesterday I'd have caught the UY trade. Although it's hugely frustrating, as it was actually on my radar, regretting the past blinds you to the opportunities in front of you. And there's a very large one, long UY right now. I'm going in big buying all dips.
