gold is a decoration, cherished by ancient cultures. other then jewelry and some high end electronics. it has little value. the people selling the stuff will take my paper for it. if its so valuable, why would anyone? gold is the imitate hype. it dont make more gold and it cost to store it.

You used to could exchange the paper for gold in your local bank in America, until Nixon abandoned this idea due to Vietnam war expenses and the fact that foreign countries were afraid that there is not enough gold to back up mighty dollar - that is history now.
As I said before and it is well known fact, we do not have inflationary doom scenario atm - but we could have in the future.
There was many currencies before and gold was always desireable. Gold is money in the worst case scenario - Jewish people used it to flee europe before 39,
When(not if) there will be crisis in currency, stock or bond market people will buy gold.
There was huge demand for physical bullion after drop in paper market and it is getting harder to buy coins - this says a lot about whole situation.

Well, I would lie telling that I would know for certain, I think nobody knows, only charlatans.

Technicality can give as some clues but not certainty, the HL's and HH's of the weekly chart shows me a bull market. There is also a good chance before 3243 that prices will drop to 2740 forming a double bottom pullback which is a very bullish pattern (view on the weekly) in an overall bull market.

Do you take today's high minus today's low on 1 or 4 hr chart and then divide that by 2? It gives me 134 divided by 2=66. So take 66 from today's high at 2953 which eaquals 1.2887 for hhalf move. But a 100% would be 2818 and not 2008. How did you get that?

and not because gold exchange for the usd was advantages to Europeans cashing in? simply,, they were exchanging usd for gold.. and reselling at the higher price paid in Europe for gold.

The main concern was that Foreigners would demand physical delivery for their reserves if the deficit in US run out of control, the other was made by FED so they can run away with the crime that sheep masses will never understand.
At the end western world enjoyed decades of prosperity which some says coming to end right now.
Anyway, let it drop to buy thats the game plan.
