{quote} The RSI is most typically used on a 14 day timeframe, measured on a scale from 0 to 100, with high and low levels marked at 70 and 30, respectively. Shorter or longer timeframes are used for alternately shorter or longer outlooks. More extreme high and low levels—80 and 20, or 90 and 10—occur less frequently but indicate stronger momentum. Are you a fan of RSI ? If you like to go deep in to Relative Strength Index, Let me know of it. Will send you a book in private. MTF

Ok, those are the settings I use for RSI. I am a fan of RSI and divergence. Normally looking for divergence on macD, but I do watch for it on RSI. I am relatively new to fx (have been trading options for 1 1/2 years) so I was not sure if some people used other settings for fx.

I would def appreciate any reading material. Thanks MTF!

hmmm, looks like you just left. if you happen to read this later, and could comment: i'm pulling my hair out trying to find a decent implementation of LINUX -- i absolutely HATE ubuntu (it looks like someone decided that doing the exact opposite of windows - even the good stuff - would smart!). i'm just becoming familiar with LINUX which adds to my confusion. i had planned to try Debian next...now i don't know. do you have experience with any other implementations?

some 5 years ago I used Fedora. It worked in the end but it was a pain in the ass to set it up. took me about a week.

{quote} his speech is titled “The future of Europe in the Global Economy”; wouldn't you think he'll say at least something that a trade could be taken on?

No they never are, only ones last year I believe Ben gave rather boring speech to college kids in US and said "gold" about 20 times so market reacted by a big sell off.
Only official ECB press conferences should be taken seriously not some banquet speech at a NY close, just my opinion
swing it!

I started off with Slackware about 10 years ago, used Debian on my servers at home, tested SuSE - before it became OpenSuSE, had to tackle Ubuntu at work and am back with the beloved and trusted Debian.

I mean, come on... on a machine dedicated to doing work and business... who in their sane mind would deviate from a stable-branch to something like testing or even unstable?

Debian rocks... doesn't look as flashy, but needs much less memory, is snappy and lightning fast.

Ubuntu is for the kids and end-users out there, Debian for the adult and money-makers, Slackware for the experienced Grampa, who needs some fiddeling to keep himself busy.

All of them pale compared to OS X, at least up to SnowLeopard, as I haven't seen much sense in Lion or Mountain Lion.

But then again, I don't like change very much.

If you want to learn Linux, Debian and Slackware are the way to go. The latter requires you to work for your success.

I was talking about certain time at the market (QE or not QE) and his words were taken by people as an excuse to sell.
Gator please stop this, I know you trade PA and mastered fibo, that is fine, I am sure you do fine.
I just gave him example what should be avoided.
Maybe when Draghi said his famous words almost year ago all the big boys looked at fibo like you do maybe they just listened to him.
Maybe what is happening to gold atm is a deflation and slowdown in demand for commodities, maybe it is long time awaited correction in the biggest bull market build on uncertainty, which you oversaw two years ago.
I don't know man
I am not qualified or experienced enough to explain.
swing it!

where was gold before, the fed started easing after 911. subtract that from the high and divide by 2. then subtract it from the high.. that's a conservative target. after that use 3/4 of the distance,, then 100%
