lol I could care less about slippage because that effects short term traders, and shady price feeds seem to happen with most brokers. I have heard or read bad things about almost every broker I've come across online, including all the ones on the website that lists the best online forex brokers

but hey thats just me.. if Tao makes profit using those guys then by all means keep trading buddy..

FXCM, FXDD, Alpari, and IBFX are all good in my opinion. Many of the bad things about brokers come into play if you are a day trader or scalper. Keep this in mind if you plan on trading the news, use stop losses, or are looking to make 20 or 30 pips here and there.

I agree these 4 brokers can get manipulative, but I have never had problems with any of them. Alpari and FX solutions were my main brokers a few years back. I prefer foreign brokers actually. How about you who do you recommend?

i think u should compile a list of all the features you want to see in the broker you want to do business with first. then, ask yourself or others for the list of names of the brokers that either matches your requirements or are capable of giving you most of those features. then shirt list them, start demoing then until you settle.

your question is so open and i can simply give you the name of my broker cuz "I" feel hapoy with them but you won't...

Thanks chaps. Usefull info and aprieciate all the different point of views.
With Alpari and got slipage of 32 pips after taking out my stoploss, Screen freezes and at times and when the market moves with some momentum they disconect my internet connection and this on two different internet providers. I was happy in the begining but lately over the last few months these tricks that they use to do a trader in has been happening more and more often.

I dont know if its greed but I trade atleast 200 sd lots a month with swing, short term, heddging and scalping trades so its not like they not making enough money out of me.

i use pepperstone, i love them big time... but one slightly downside is that they are not a fixed spread broker... the have incredibly low spreads on everything... but i realize its best not to trade immediately after new daily candle open because thats when NY Close/ Asia Open occurs and spreads are unusually high at those times...

thats the way it is with most brokers now with sydney open.. even when ur broker is down under......

Yes alpari is known to do those things you mentioned, but as I mentioned it only comes into play if you are a short term trader. im here to learn also just like a lot of other people. I do not think my opinions are the best I can only tell you what I've learned from dealing with brokers in the past. What the other guy said is right you need a list of specifics before you pick exactly what broker you want. All we can do is give you advice. Either way, your broker can manipulate the market if they want. Ultimately, if you take a long term view of the market all the negative factors about the forex market will not effect you as much. That's my opinion
