No such thing. A news leak of something? Maybe, but it's not manipulation just a head start. You could have easily traded this. We don't make markets, we trade markets.

Reason PA went above 5 SMA.

Next existing short @ 1.2990 which is withing Price Saturation Zone so will stand down at this level.

Will re short higher.

Moving Average Model update

Updating our rudimentary moving average model it's not that much of a surprise that its shifted back from long to square (our model has 15 components so -1/+1 is square) The model will go -1 unit EUR/USD on a daily close below 1.3074, a close above will be +1. The surprising thing about it, is that it's a long term component that keeps pirouetting plus or minus 1. The 144 DMA is what's causing the problem, whereas our other long term M/As, 200-DMA and 55-wks do not turn until 1.2912 and 1.2894 respectively."Normal" for the blended model is 1.2660/1.3260 which gives us an insight into market balance, we are closer to overbought than oversold for M/As between 24-hrs to 55 weeks

i saw price pause, and for a number of reasons considered a small fade (which i did and made a very quick profit) as others did and took large long positions... but timing was too tight --UNLESS YOU KNEW WHAT WAS TO HAPPEN, OR EXTEND PROFITS ON SHORT RISK PAIRS -- i got the news almost immediately on sqwauk... it was too late to open from a good seat.

again: my argument centers on TIMING ----- and the only thing i'm really saying is this possibility should be part of a criminal investigation. and i'm sure it will be.

Another trader asked me about Gold buy levels.

I get a daily newsletter from Stewart Thompson who manages a butt load of money he is heavy into gold. These are his levels. I had to do some digging to find the right newsletter from last week and line item. The "chimps" are the Banksters

16. A range pgen between $1000-$2000, with a focus on $1923, $1800, $1577, $1432, $1305, $1266/$1225, $1105, and $1033, is exactly how the chimps would handle themselves in this market, if they were in your position now.

  1. EUR/USD selling accelerated on North Korea threats, Boston blast
  2. Earlier attempt to rally the pair ended after spike up near 1.3110
  3. Draghi drove that by saying OMT intervention would be ex-ante unlimited
  4. Risk soured as commodities continued slide from last week
  5. Break of 1.3030 puts 1.3000/05 (10 DMA, April 9 low) in play

at every price point somebody buys somebody sells, some win some lose

sometimes prices end where you think sometimes they don't

sometimes fades work sometimes they don't

I can't agree. The market offers many opportunities. That's like saying people who made money today were either retail insiders or a fluke? Yen pairs down 3-400 pips. I am sure there were plenty of entries. A lot of this moment was set up last night with Chinese data points.

3091.6 is a small bull wave w/o a LL, if completed,, mid for at at 3063.. no bulls w/o 3092 and a HH..

Lol I only have a fraction of the experience many of you have, but I absolutely hate excuses. If he caught the ride down there wouldn't be any manipulation woes.

I posted a video a week or two back of some guy getting his face ripped off and kept blaming the markets.

i know only one thing: when something happens say twice a year (don't know the exact statistics) but the actual timing of an event has the power to make some individual or group millions in a few moments... i stop and think.

lesson in probability: if something happens on average once every 6 months and will exert some meaningful effect if it occurs over a time frame of 15 minutes, then what is the probability that it will happen once at a given time during a 6 month period? that would be simply 1 divided by the number of possible time frames, which = 1/17,280** (there are ~ 17,280 15 minute time frames in 6 mo)

so, the probability of this happening the way it did by pure chance is 1 in 17,280. when so much money could be at stake - i'm not ready to buy that it was an accident of timing without question.
