Out of existing long @94 for +30

Next long is at 1.2940 and waiting for it to go ITM.

Forex Flash: Short EUR/USD under 1.3020 – Westpac


FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - According to Global FX Strategist Sean Callow at Westpac, “We are short the EUR/USD at 1.3020. Key longer term moving averages around 1.2900 should stymie the topside but we are nevertheless inclined to tighten stops here (to 1.2950)” – EZ markets are proving resilient to both Italy’s political deadlock and the precedent set in Cyprus for higher levels of private sector risk ownership in the region’s banking system.

However, “Draghi struck a dovish tone this week and IP data next week more likely than not to disappoint, ultimately keeping EUR downside in focus. EUR/JPY and EUR/CHF still trading heavily, implying that recent EUR/USD stability is more a USD story.” Callow adds.

I am using the 200 MA on MT4 and it was around 1.2880.

Not sure what the news source was using.

if u have noticed weekly a potential double bottom has formed, i am long E/U from 1.2880, TP1 is at 1.3000.

What am I missing to see a 200 pip rally on the EurUsd?

The US data wasn't that bad was it...?

Anyone else see a fall back in the asia markets after this bump. I'm reloading some shorts by the way. I show it bouncing off my trendline of 1.2950

Thoughts?

  1. EUR/CHF dip to 1.2155 & EUR/JPY dip to 123.50 bought
  2. Both near highs on the day & take EUR/USD to knew high of 1.2890
  3. Stops touted above the 200 DMA & more reported up to 1.2930
  4. Bullish engulfing candle in place if pair closes at current levels but care needed
  5. Action post Mar 7 ECB saw EUR squeeze up then reverse after US jobs data

It was short covering on the backs of a stop run IMHO.

Will be joining you reloading some shorts but have to wait for the 5 x 15 first then confirmation with the RSI and 30M HSR and 30M Fibs to make sure I got the room to run.

Ok, I need some advice

I am short, did not know we were above the 200 Day MA as my chart shows it at 3070 (Oanda). Can we expect a retrace, or is this technical move so strong that any shorts around current price will soon be under water and for some time? Just trying to exit. I would break even at 1.2909

I am not one to give good advice...so theres my disclaimer.

I show a decent trendline at 1.2950 no broken yet and offered a little resistance.

My 4h 200 ma is 1.30 area as well...gotta break this trendline though before I will be worried about the 200 ma.

Again, I suck at trading...lol

i'm waiting for good stuff from US tomorrow(probably just me), depends on your account size and how much are you willing to risk
