i think so.. my ultimate price for this upward move is at about 5780 while fiber just 3300, meaning that pound has a ~500 pips move while euro just ~300pips.

but i will be very cautious at about 5500 tho..

A pullback too much below 1.5 to me would prob signal resumption of downtrend.

The area that provided good resistance last week will likely provide good support this week. The bulls have finally pushed through the 1.5185 area and closed comfortably above it even with Fitch throwing a spanner in the works on Friday. 1.53 to 1.5350 is personally the next zone to watch for any move back south. If that breaks the next zone above that would be 1.5450, then 1.57.

Looks to be a reverse head and shoulders on H 4. I think we go up to at least 1.54. Watching 50 day exponential.

Pushed through yes but I think its taken a lot from them and in the whole of last week we didn't manage much up.

Open interest commercially feel last week and suggests a change coming to me.

I am hoping for fall but that inverted hammer was caused by the negative watch but didn't manage to engulf the whole of the previous bullish candle.

Much of the bullish uptrend is from a correction (inevitable) following the dramatic drop from the highs at the start of the year. I think it was accentuated by the troubles in Europe last week with people more open to buying pounds.

I think it will be pivotal to see what correlation the pound follows with the Euro this week too. I see from the figures that commercial interest has fallen from the week previous which indicates the correction has almost run its course.

Do we really see any fresh buyers for the pound given its current circumstance?

My main guru said that moves up for the pound will be capped under 1.53 and predicted that price would end the week around 1.52 (last week).

Prediction for the end of next week is 1.50 and the week after 1.48

This is what im also hoping for, no trades just looking to enter long from as low as possible.

imho, we are not in any trend yet, the movement towards just below 5000 is expected months before it happens. i think we will stay in the 1.5-1.6 range for quite sometime and this move up is not a new trend to me, it is just a correction, perhaps to retest its breakout price (the weekly triangle).

in the weekly/monthly point of view, it's still too soon to say it's already bullish, so i think both bears and bulls can still make money in the weeks a head.

now, in the near term, i think cable will move higher with harmony of other pairs related to USD (fiber up, swissy and candy down - i'm not putting aussie and kiwi in this view due to confusing on my part in the risk on/off factors - the same with the yen pairs). i still taking this move up as a major counter trend trades - not something i can comfortably leave it open for months .
