I have one gold short running now and I'm thinking to target 1616.44ish at some point next week. Might even happen today? Now you know me, I don't predict things especially long term but from what I'm seeing, if 1616 does get hit and breaks, I can see 1580ish and if it breaks, then 1522ish in the coming months. Else I'll be looking for a turn at either 1616 or 1580 with a possible bounce back to the 1670 area.

But I "think" gold and silver are much more effected by fundies and I'm the first to admit I'm rather weak there. So for now I'm trading them much the same as currencies as it's all I know.

From the looks of things... Friday today and premarket move up...
i expect GBPUSD to reach 1.5570 in the near term as the 78.2% fibo level at 1.5510 held.

I think that is a very good target for the short-term. That falls right in line with the 20 EMA on the H4 at 1.5567

what i'm worried about is what could happen to someone less experienced, coming to a thread to learn and understand how to trade markets and find 3500 posts by people buying downtrends and selling uptrends....

as you surely know, trading like that requires to be at an extremely advanced level of experience! and also requires to have particular own personal character more inclined in to trade with fast TF.
few experienced trader could try to buy GU now near 1.55 with let's say a stop loss below 1.5300: this is actually extremely risky because market can keep falling, causing him/her stress and total confusion so ending with a close in loss. ...just to see price then recovering, so he/she will buy again just to see price reversing down again! this happens mostly when a less experienced trader try to trade with a fast TF without taking in account the main picture in daily-weekly-monthly, fundamentals etc...

this is way is always better publish a trade, with a clear stop loss and TP reasoning. nobody wants to know your system, or steal you anything, is just because knowing the kind of trade you are looking for

5543 is the 55ema on 1H, I expect maybe a bounce there and will start looking for more shorts between there and 5580ish perhaps.

Assuming it breaks 5530ish again of course.
