uhm... i can't say anything about "gaps" in charts. try a different broker LOL!
anyway price actually is different than that previous move last year.
personally i just closed my long near 1.58 (some 10pips lower)
now i'm waiting for a bullish breakout higher.
in that case.... 1.59 an 1.5970 will be reached quickly.

overall price could be bouncing in this area to start a bit retrace of main move so eventually reaching near 1.61
shorts can be in play but 5750 shows now as good support today.

definetly, imo, better look for longs!
shorts again in play if daily lose again 5750.

"isn't it strange ucad to rise more? is cad so much weak? because usd is weak so if ucad rise means cad very weak... uh,... so maybe something stronger vs cad could be better"

in few words i will give an eye to eur cad
even better the gbp cad
long time i don't open that chart
if gbp start recovering now, could be a great opportunity

maybe so.. but trading crosses can sometimes be complicated.. regarding euro, in the short term, i'm not so sure it will rise since i'm thinking to long swissy at 9100.. unless that area breaks..

i'm more to gbp atm like how you said it - "gbp recovering"

It was only a 20 pip move down... I don't see what the big deal is.

Yeah. That's right. I think I got overwhelmed by the fact that it was just straight without the usual up/down ticks (it was 35 pips for EU).
