Maybe i'm wrong but i like more the old version of Symphonie because it seems like this new Symph 4.4 have big delay.

It is you....... because 3.0.1 (bottom matirx) gave almost the same signal at the same time as 4.4h (top matrix). The difference is the noise that is filtered out in version 4.4h. See screenshot below.

Since I like to tinker with things.....I have something to pass on as a possible exit strategy. This is not official but I offer as a possible test for you to play with.

I have been researching the conditional changes in markts for the past 60 days and have come across an interesting development and that is the concept of exiting on the changes in the Sentiment value versus the trend. For example I take the last 6 Symphonie Signals and then compare the change in Sentiment as the exit and out of the last 6 signals 2 would have result in a negative effect or loss trade where as the other 4 would make a positive effect.

I will have to play with Sentiment settings more to see if I can fine tune it but I offer as something for you to test.

Again...this is just a theory that I am testing....!

Maybe in this situation, but in M15 with Sump 4.4 i didnīt received yet the buy signal.

Remember that 15 min has difference settings so you may wish to check your settings. If you have already done that then you may wish to fine tune them to make more responsive to your needs.

I wish I could say that today was an easy trade day but I have not seen one of those since the first week in Jan. .....EURUSD is locked in a neverending wedge pattern it seems.... and by my chart calulation this could last another 10 days! aaaaaah!

Anyway....here is my day today.

no you are correct.. if you are sitting on the 1h chart, you will have a major delay before symphonie recognizes a trend. if you are on the 5min, you will catch it before the 1h but it might not be confirmed, and just a small move.

The reason mine are different is because I am constantly testing different settings. My setting tomorrow and next week will more than likely be different than today because I am always in a state of testing.

The optimals that I posted are just that...the optimal settings that I have found that produce the best results. But that is not to say the others are better. It is just what I posted. They are the Optimal settings that I have found that work the best.

Again, I refer you to my post when I made them. I encourage you to test the setting and find the ones that will work best for you.

Please remember I am a tinker and I play with settings all the time and try to improve things. As I posted (see Post# 16,528) I am playing with Sentiment and trying to make it a possible exit strategy instead of trend. But this is only my ''theory'' and it could be successful or it may not...I do not know at this point.

Once I see something that is stable and performance is best; I will pass it on to the group after I have tested all possibilities.

I use the optimal settings for my trading accounts. Of course as I do find other settings I will make a post and pass on to the group but only after I have proven success.

But to make things more clear since there is obviously confusion here are all the Optimal settings that I am using. You should Compare to the original and you will still see they are about the same as the orignal post. But again I am always in a state of constant test. I am hiding nothing from you and these are the setting I use to trade.

I am also working on a 5M ''Quik Snap'' setting for those that are Risk takers and want to play Whipsaw markts. But that is still requiring alot more testing.

yah i was testing the secondary settings in the optimal jpeg, they seem to signal me a little earlier than the ones i was using before. works very nicely even though both settings are excellent. i still like the speed in wich it notify's me of changes.
