+22 pips move after London close...
Generally after London things just calm down but not today and even positive US data.
This is real strange how PA keep going up.I suspect because EJ persistent, relentless drive north.
In trading, you have to be defensive and aggressive at the same time

Question for the fundies.... what are the reasons for the sell off on YEN? Is it because of positive US Data, so now risk appetite is on and wanker (ahem) banker folk are swapping YEN for USD, driving USD value down?

decline comes late thursday/early friday.

didnt quite get the immediate rally off of ben but has at least recovered.

one ever-present factor: 10 yr yields have turned up 90 points so far today (heavy shift of $$$ into equities due to upbeat data i suppose) which by itself would drive .uj up.

also recently, general risk-on will depress or cap both usd and yen (as safe haven function is less attractive)

(the merchantile thing adds to yen weakness... but the euro's gettin hosed)
