I suspect the junior traders in bed with their algo toys have been given a remit to sniff orders south, ready for the new BoE goldmanite next year.

Nice charts. But I think you did yourself a disswervice by not being in now. Im a fib trader too but also a harmonic pattern trader and just from yourt cvhart it seems the easy setup was when you bounced off the 50.0 and broke below 38.2. But me, hell id get in here. At least for 1 position.because what do you do if it never gets back to that 50% area for the next bear run. I have already posted my numbers for my daily chart harmonic trade. I got stopped out on my too tight 20-30 pip stop and got back in again. Let me announce it here if you dont mind for the guys who follow me. But you have your charts set up nicely without too much clutter. I like that. Im trying to get 4 or 5 guys to start a trading room with me. If you are interested, let me know. Either way....lets ride this puppy down to...................HELL!!!! -)

Another reason to be short the dollar is this:

1-Good news for the dollar and it may go flying. So what, we can always use tight stops and reverse our positions

2-Bad news for the US dollar and we wiill drop a hell of a LOT more than we would go up.

3-No news or vague news will be interpreted as bad news and we still go dropping like a rock. Just pray the GBP doesnt mess this up with bad news of its own.

I see the risk-reward ratio here to be at least 3-1. Maybe triple that or more if we go down all week, if you know anything about placing stops. If you dont. Just place your stop 1-3 pips over the high of the last daily candle. Conservative guys who play shorter time frames because they "think" they are risking less, you can place your stop over the open of the last daily candle. In fact because the candle is so big I might do that myself and get back in if stopped out.

I did take advantage of that drop.I got +180pips on GU and Eu.Click on my name and and my posts and you will see it on my journal.
I am a student of Harmonics and I got much to learn(anther way of saying I am unripe avocado).I love Fibs.

IOts past Christmas in Japan and London,right? On my demo acct with World pro forex THEY ARE OPEN ALREADY, BUT MY REAL ACCT at FXCM it says market is still closed. I bet half of you have action and charts moving,yes?

some markets are open but extremely low liquidity.My volume is flat hence why I placed those pending orders if they get spiked I may get into a trade on optimum price.
My MBtrading main account is open.

Now I have to figure out how I am going to go to sleep knowing that we could have nice fat gaps at the opening and if I go to sleep I miss them. If I stay up i WILL miss the NY open. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, I need to takea large amounts of perocets, right now. I might crack up by 1am. Christ! Im screwed there also. I dont take pills.

But I think this week will be more exciting than people realize,and if by a miracler its not wild and crazy, the first week of the new year weekly candle will have spikes/needles coming out of both ends like Dolly Parton has it "falling" out of both ends. lol

Hi Silat50, I hope you don't mind me asking this question, but I am a little confused by your market outlook.

You say you are short gbpusd at 6195 (which is bullish USD) but your 1st target at 62xx is above your entry.
Your next post then says you have reasons to short the dollar, (USD bearish) unless Bad UK news messes with it.

I think I must be missing something as these 2 posts of yours seems to contradict each other.
Personally, I am short 6245 area so I am not concerned, but am curious to understand what you are saying.

Anyway guys...I'm not used trading 1 day before Christmas. What does it technically mean if you have open position on GU if your broker has closed trading and the spike happened...does it affect your trade or it is the same like during the weekend?

sure it does, but most likely depends of the broker and his clearing house.. and how he is structured.. when he settling the price before he opens tomorrow.. In most cases they follow the market.. I have few brokers and banks opened, and only some Asian banks showing the gap.. SAXO Bank is open but not major gap or spike at their data feed.. Again, it depends how your broker is structured..

Thanks Piters buddy for explanation. I checked netdania and there is a spike and in XE yesterday I noticed jumps. Heh I'm curious...
I see you re using esignal platform. Are you satisfied with it. I remember Malcolm14...he used it because it has a good volume feed.

very happy, im with esignal last few years.. the feed is good, you can choose any independent out of their composite feed: from saxo, barkelys to fxcm, currinex ect...

lots of new intervals, TF's ect.. I had also Tradestation, but IMHO eSignal is way better ..

p.s. asian bank chart..
