No one will tell in the long term, but I can say in the short term, 16200 level is quite possible move (just follow the move of Gold and EUR)

a continuation of the trend is likely since the US house of reps just rejected the latest bill proposed by Boehner, if they cant pass that then they will never pass what Obama wants (or anything else in the middle), going over the cliff (which will actually long term strengthen the dollar will cause media hysteria) plunging the dollar lower initially and then stronger once Obama passes new tax breaks for the middle class down early in 2013.

That sounds tasty.

The GU has been odd this year, but it makes sense.
From what I can see, 2012 was all about change.

The first 4 months was the setup I think, now she needs to follow through.
No more lower highs, the bears have had enough it seems.

Maybe the bulls charge next year?

I'm not at my charts and I didn't see the new day update this morning, but last I looked we were still bullish but hit a soft weekly roadblock.

Whether or not it is a solid block will find out next week I think.

I only really look at the GU pair, when I start looking at other things, I just get confused

ok if i was trading gbp/usd, i would take a long here at 1.6244, s/l 1.6224, t/p 1.6350. thats what i call good risk to reward.

16200 should be reached today, then hold in Monday... 16080 should be seen on Wed/Thurs coming...

Hello everyone,
Hope you all have a Great New Year. I don't really trade cable much anymore- its not the same beast. While its duck hunting season cable just bounces around like a decoy. The old saying that cables been 1.60 since the king died is as true today as always. Cable is still hard technicaly to trade so its much easier just to use your skills to trade different markets. Flicking through a group of charts on a morning will present you with one or two charts which stand out as having potential. You can pick up a 200 point trade on the DOW for the same amount of work as a 50 pip cable trade. retailers are currently 76% short cable and still selling, but their stops are kept really close above 1.63 and feel it would be remiss of the London guys not to claim their holiday bonus. Whichever way cable does go though- I wouldn't try to fade a move today as Fridays still are oneside once they breakout and prices tend to turn flat rather than reverse one way moves.

i see that also as valid cluster support on daily (6060-80).. but if that breaks, hold on to 5775 imho.. and i don't think short term we will see higher than 6300.. let's see on how weekly closed to confirm that theory..

i agree.. cable is just not as volatile as before.. even fiber is better, aussie is better, kiwi is better.. everything seems better than cable.. lol.
