DislikedBut nobody's buying up the $ - it's sitting there letting John Bull piss all over it.
(Am I letting my short position show?)
And yes, S&P's going up generally, but it just fell 400, and I'm looking at the very short term here...Ignored
DislikedYou must be blind.... please go find a DXY chart and tell me what it has done over the last month or so....
i dont even need to look at it yet and i can already tell you its riding on an uptrend.... with a previous bounce off a supporting up trend...Ignored

DislikedDXY has been in a range for the last month... ~78.95-80.25. I see no uptrend although it is now near resistance again @80. If that holds, we could see further upside on GBPUSD.
Also daily is playing out the bullish divergence.
Sorry to be a party pooper!Ignored

DislikedOops - my bad. I follow the Dow, hence the '400'. Still, a 70-odd point drop in the S&P in 4 days is nothing to sneeze at, and who said anything about the last month? I think I said 'the very short term'? Should I have said 'the very, very, very short term'?
Also, I'm trying to figure out why the $ seems so weak relative to the £, especially today, after the UK data should be priced in, and the US just came out with strong data. I think you could be right about the post-London factor, but I would be more reassured to see at least some weakness,...Ignored
DislikedWell, I wouldn't exactly say folks are buying it up like crazy here. 4 months bearish with it starting to tick up this month but still trading within May's bullish bar. No break either way in 5 months. A close this month over 6630ish or better yet that TL at 6700ish would be niceIgnored
Dislikedtight range consolidation on 5min since the data react hi/current hi of day. Break to up or downside from this consoliadtion ?

What Chat is that??
the Dollar Index DXY is around 80s.... whats yoru chart showing 1.6x??Ignored
Dislikedyou are right about use at resistance but you cant say we arent in an uptrend for the last 3 months..... we've even bounced off that trend line.... i expect the 80 bucks resistance to break to the upside....Ignored
DislikedI hope so too, but if I am wrong, my SL ensures that I still make a profit. We have not run out of buyers at the 1.6128 handle, nor are sellers willing to give up. Classic consolidation and someone is going to get hurt. How many pin bars on h1? Could be a bull trap...Ignored
Dislikedwell if it turns out to be the case... this thing can retest 1.60 fast... possibly before the weekend.....Ignored
Dislikedrisk pairs (which im heavily short in) AUDUSD and NZDUSD are also showing weakness...
NZD showing multiple classic bearish divergence on the H1.... that baby is gona TANK!....Ignored
