I’ve been folling your posts. Very informative. Thanks for sharing them. When you meet your bias, and open a trade, or a second trade, how long do you follow them? If they don't stop out or take profit?

Hi Frank, I don't have any time frame in mind but I keep my bearings with PA.
Quite often the signals come after a strong move and the timing of the signal takes you into that area of congestion (distribution/accumulation) and it's difficult to see how long it will last and what the next direction will be. Often the breakout from that congestion range whether false or real will be enough to reach target.
This morning's second trade (7am Bias) was quite a good example.
Price dropped in line with the trade but it was hovering around the half way mark between recent Hi/Lo and on 3 attempts got only as far as +3 for the trade.
Bearing in mind we're trading retracements, getting over the Fib 50 can be asking too much so i keep an eye on that, I don't use fibs on the charts, too much clutter but you get a reasonable idea just looking at the chart.
Further, in my first trade I got 17% and as mentioned before I tend to be protective of gains already in the bank.
After the third attempt of price going down it then created a series of 4 bars with higher hi's and Lo's so decided all things considered try to get out at close to BE. Closed at -1 which cost me 2.5%.
The 8am Bias trade got to +4, if I'd been trading this one I would have considered exiting BE.

Hi Frank,
Personally I would be thinking of closing at break even if it was taking too long. In today's trade you'll see there was a sharp move down and I didn't get to do that.

With such a tight sl and tp the trades don't normally last too long, though.

But, strictly Paulus' rules are to leave it on until tp or sl hit.

Hi Strada. I see that in the 8 AM NB you entered long in a green bar. I tought that even without bias you were entering aways long with red bars and shorts with green bars... no? Do you really enter longs with green bars and shorts with red bars?

Hi GB, I'm still using Paulus original criteria for entry. The trade you referred to above was, (I think the 8am No Bias at 8.09am??), a short trade with stox previously over 80, MACD changed from green to dark green. I wondered if perhaps you'd confused the signal bar line with the 'London Open', otherwise I'm not sure what you mean, please come back to me if still in doubt. Regards.

@ Paludo, the signal you mention although closed slightly below stox 80 would have probably been taken but price reversed away form the signal so no entry for me at that time. Hope this clarifies.

Similar situation this morning with the 7am Bias trade. Signal at 7.25am but price reversed then another signal at 7.29am (coincidentally at exactly the same close price).

and at what time hour do you stop generally? and do you stop when you get enough pips ratio return? for instead +9% the day (according each trade i invest 3% capital per trade

entry is uncorect it seems
stack was over 50 at the begining ofthe 1m candle

for me its ok if its even over but only at the very end od the candle, not begining

and Stop loss a 2 means 3 wit hspread
but TP better if you use better ratio, why you only take 6 pips and a ratio 2 here?

Yes, slightly over, but as long as it is only marginally over the line I'll still use the signal.

No, it wouldn't be. If I multiplied the SL+spread by 3 I'd be looking for TP 9pips, TP6 has a much higher success rate so overall I prefer to keep the spread out of the calcs, it works for me. +67% this week, I don't think I need to improve on that.

thanks for the stats you post on the forum.

I would love to add something like this, but it was almost impossible to trade (on demo) over the last week.

One question: based on your spreadsheet, and on one comment you did in this thread, you trade the first two signals, am i right?
