I have closed the EA early as it looks like it may reverse. I am still holding the AU as long as it stays above the daily pivot.

Ok! But...even if it is mental, how could he know if the prices would not rise more? It's not trade, it's a shot. Even though he stayed in front of the computer all the time (very tiring), how many pips above the SL his "emotional control" stand? If happened a rally against him and, in this moment, he was on the phone etc? It's not a method, it's lucky, guesses, thoughts or anything like that, less Sonic trade. Look...A trade that went wrong, exceeded the SL and magically, turned into a profit of 50 pips. Very interesting, easy and clean . It's much more prudent to show the trades that went wrong, than this.

The Sonic R. System recommends the use of a SL. Placement of SLs is anywhere from just beyond the beginning of the PA wave leg #3 back to just beyond the beginning of PA wave leg #1. In addition, Master Sonicdeejay has even stated that an 80 pips SL for EU can be considered "tight". So, a SL could even be perhaps beyond the RGH/RGL marks!

As for me, I continue to wrestle with where to place the SL. I do show my "best guesses" on my trade pics. However, if I believe in a trade, and I see high volatility ahead, I keep my SLs mental. And I state so in my posts. I comes down to me giving my trades breathing room. Sometimes too much so, and I get "trapped" in trades that then sit on the bench for quite some time unless I want to close at high losses. I don't like it when that happens, but I also don't like being frequently stopped out when using tight SLs. Where is the solution? I don't know. And every trader faces this dilemma and has to decide, from trade to trade, how to handle things. I make my choices. You make yours. And as I said, I do try to mention in my posts how I am handling SLs on open trades under changing market conditions.

I am not a prophet, and the wrong trades of record here prove that. I have not, and still do not always follow the Sonic R. System rules and recommendations, and the wrong trades of record here prove that. I would think the content of record clearly addresses your third suggestion.

At any point in time, a case can be made for either direction as the next move coming. The danger in speculating (and this is from a speculator) is forming a bias that influences to the point that we stop trading what PA is doing in favor of what we anticipate PA will be doing! At the very least, this results in missing moves. At the worst, it results in trading the wrong direction, and delaying the exit.

Throughout Forex Factory, the subject of most posts is an opinion of where price is headed. Some turned out correct, others not, but none affected the result.

If our analysis of what PA might do next cannot beneficially affect the result, but can adversely affect our trading, why bother? Especially when all we really have to do is just await the next Sonic R. System setup, and assess things then.

PS: Just posting this so those inclined to conflict will have something of substance to jump on when I next post speculation.

Okay! Enlightened, considering the range of your risk tolerance, your mental SL, I suppose you stand very close to the screen and has a good knowledge of the game. I agree with you that is very difficult to set a SL, mainly in the short term. Because of this and the time I have to spend, I trade long term and with a little less money. I use to set SL and forget it until I'm in profit and use fibos extensions for TP.

Worldfreedom, I notice your use of Strateman's Mini-Charts and that you have our period separators and market vLines set to show in the chart sub-window you use for these Mini-Charts. Let me bring to your attention that you can select to not show the separators and vLines in sub-windows. Just go down the External Inputs to both the Separators Section and the vLines Section and in each, where it says "....Thru_SubWindows", change the input from "true" to "false".

Again the last (this is the last guys don't worry). I don't want to interphere anymore.
I would like to leave some added value before going to the people who don't insulted me ...ok...to everyone. If you don't like just ignore or insult me. Up to you. I started trading FX 3 years ago (before I was trading stocks from the 1999. During the bubble I made money. so easy .... ). I just traded eurusd on the 5m chart because I think on this timeframe it's already difficult enough.
I trade 1-2-3 setup, fractal break risky entry and conservative (These are reversal). I use to bank on 40-50pips on HH/LL waiting for consolidation and bank again if possible in a best scenario.
I don't risk more than 1% of my account daily with a 1:1RR. More it's a suicide. My StopLoss is fixed and I don't touch it for whatever reason. But you're on the 15m...it's another world. I'm an old guy...but you are in the web-2.0 era you can think about making mental/dynamic stuff. Next we'll make mental trades.I take different trades. I don't think too much I take the trades that's it. If I miss 2-3 consecutives trades I stop and go the park. I learnt how to trade in the The System II (Yes with irony) trade. Feb2865 is my mentor. He started this thread and others. He was on the floor and then retired because sick. I don't know if he's still alive. You can look at my posts there because I fighted to protect the treahd bu than I decided to stop for respect of him and because other traders opened a new thread after taking the knowledge. But the the owner has been banned.
If you would like to see something new you can go there and read (may be during the wkend).
In this thread you don't talk about risk and money management.

I appreciate the posting of the chart, but it would be so much better if ANYONE that posts their trade with a chart would ALL use the same chart setups.

Trade any chart you prefer, but only post the trade with the chart available on Post #1.

Especially difficult to "see" the trade without the dragon on the chart.
