Was this a good Sonic Setup?

well, ideally..I prefer the EMA34 Dragon to be above the EMA89 Trend, and there must be a nice 1-2-3- wave type PA.
In my view, when bulls enter the bears territory , we expect the bears to fight back.
Let's see if more bulls will join in the race up.

Depends on how you manage this buy trade now, and how many pips you want...never know how the market will reward you for spotting this.

Agreed, it just bothers me to rush into a trade.

Though it could be a good trade.

Thanks for all your inputs......
Why would this be classified as a rush trade?

1. The Dragon is not over the trend line?
2. The doesn't show 1,2,3 ?

I thought I was following the rules closely. So would be very interested to know how to make this better.

Hi KashTrader

Don't feel offended in any way. No offence to anyone especially you.

These are my opinions.

Point 1: True, PA is above trend line EMA34 and EMA89.

Point 2: Yes, there is 1,2 and 3.

Point 3: I have been back testing Sonic R with 2 years of data, normally when this scenario happens, I wait for EMA34 to break EMA89 to give me a better confirmation for a long.

That's my reason for saying rush, but that does not mean a good trade may not happen. Just that, I'm very choosy with my trades.

Yes, we can see PA at 1.2520 now turn as a support for bullish EU...if price comeback again and penetrate this level, so say goodbye for "bull EU"...in day term...I won't risk more pips for this trade...

I still dont quite understand what is a good Sonic Setup.
Before I place my entry I ..
1) Count the wave
2) See if the candle is above/below the dragon and the trend line and place an entry point for few pips (my case 5 pips).
3) Also check the angle of the dragon.

but yet the price does not do what it should do and then other factors come to play such as the certain Support and resistance area which im not able to distinguish which one is the strong s&r area. Then, I dont seem to place the "right" SL and TP. I know that we cant control the market and we hav to able to except some losses but I kinda lost confidence on my trading decision right now . So someone please educate me

u can check out master hansma's previous entry posts, youll notice most of them are near SD areas.

check the SR's on higher tf mate before you count the waves in smaller tf's, if the setup appears near or within the SD/SR level the higher the opportunity of having a positive trade. do not rely on the dragon itself.

Sorry for my poor drawing ..
The yellow line was my rush long EP but then i stopped out after i drew the red trend line. I put another EP at orange line as my red resistance line was broken with my SL down at 1.24890. However, I closed the order when I drew the yellow trend line and the resistance/support area (white box). In my opinion, I rushed into the trade without carefully scanning for a "strong" S&R area. My question is when the market is ranging like this, we wait for certain area to break or we look at a smaller TF (if my fingers are too itchy to rush into trades), correct ?

Thank you so much

Here´s my opinion.

1. Loose those itchy fingers and wait for a proper setup.

2. You were buying into minor supply and a trendline - at least watch what
price does in that area, before pulling the trigger.

3. When the market is ranging - you will need to wait for a break in either direction, and then wait for another setup,
going through the whole sonic r setup again before you pull the trigger.

Hope this somewhat helps you

Regards,
H.
