This was a rough week. Had to scramble all week but managed to actually gain some ground when it was all said and done. The following chart shows the entire month of July. Just trying to scrape and claw my way back to the $150 I started with in March!

Thanks for this post.

It's helped me to understand how this can work for me. I've only been an observer of this system because I couldn't bring myself to use upwards of a 100 pip SL on the 15m TF. The most, I like to use with the 15m TF is 20 pips I can see using your method of looking at PA will make this possible.

You said you are living in USA. So your liverage is 50:1 am i correct. Can u comfortably trade with 50:1? I don't know why many Broker outside US not accepting US clinets.

34EMA channel is sonic Dragon
89EMA is the Trend.

sonicdeejay did not invent 34EMA. he got his inspiration from reading Raghee Horner'book and he created sonicR method. (post#1)

just do search "Raghee" on this thread and you will find 71 posts with this keyword "Raghee. Read all these 71 posts".

you can also google "raghee horner" and "EMA34" wave.
there are some good youtube video on 34EMA wave.
these may help you with some ideas when you want to make video on sonicR.
we don't need to spend time and re-invent the wheel.

for many traders who do not trade using MT4 platform, they can simply use EMA34 and EMA89 which are Exponential Moving Averages. these are all that trader need.
Anyone with difficulty setting up these on other platform, can always ask here or in the Platform Tech section in FF.

Everyone just understand about EMA but not deeper like why EMA why trade without EMA? You don't need to go deep to expain everything in your video. But Keep focus on key aspect of the trading system, Wave, price action, Full explaination about Support and Resistance and important info about TP and SL. You may need some good tools to mark on Mt4 chart while you talk. I can provide you. PM me your mail id.

What Happened the 13th-14th of July. As far I can see you need a better MM. Overall you are doing Ok. Keep in mind PA is the best to go with your trades. I would recommend working on naked charts for a while and see. It was a good exercise for me and then use the Sonic system to keep you focused and for screening the garbage trades.

What happened was, I set a SL that was waaaaaaayyy too big. I had confidence in the HTF trend direction and believed the PA would turn in my favor. A fatal mistake for sure! I switched from a short-term trade to a long-term trade and paid dearly for doing so. Looking back on it, it was clear I should have kept a tighter stop position and just got out sooner. I would have been much better off having done that.

50:1 is correct.

I believe you can "comfortably" trade it, depending on the account balance versus the size of the trade(s).

I'm trading a live account, but treating it as a learning experience. I just don't like the illusion a demo account creates. The account is only $150 and my trades are at .10/pip so I can absorb a lot of "damage" without crashing and burning. To trade at higher levels I would need to increase the account size accordingly.

Good progress, ...slow and steady is the way to go.

I been through similar phase like you. Someone help me analyse my trades and suggested some changes in Money Management and Position Sizing, and also Trade Management. Beware of the PRZ!

Thanks for the constructive criticism. I've tried to focus more closely on my approach this month, and I feel I've made some good progress. Learned some "to-do's" AND some "not-to-do's" that have helped me for sure.

Hi guys,

I am a newbie and am planning to try this system out on MT4 from Alpari.
I have downloaded the Zip file SonciRV3.zip and copied the template and the indicator files over as instructed.

However, when I create a new chart and select one of the sonic templates, nothing happens and I just get a blank chart.

However, I can manually add the indicators. I was expecting the template to add all the necessary indicators. Is that how it should be or am I doing something wrong?

Hi TAH,

I'm probably not best qualified to say this but when trading shorter TFs this kind of PA anlysis makes more sense. This way tighter SL levels can be set and TP levels become more attainable.

I'll defiantly be looking more closely at this thanks for the effort.

Wow after 2 months, I'm slowly starting to understand this now. If you can, can you put up a few more examples with a visual template like this.

btw, for every red and blue line on your picture, it would be even more helpful if you drew an indication where you actually placed the stop order and SL on the red and blue lines (as in drawing a different colored dot on above or below the candle)
I suppose looking at Domas4's post makes it a slightly bit easier. But a few more examples. Then I'm sure I can start trading more confidently with this system. I understand this system isn't suppose to hard to understand and I'm starting to see it.

TAH, I have a question about the chart. Just past the EP of Long #1, the PA makes a high and then a low just above the dragon. From what I read on the preceding short, wouldn't you have raised the SL for the long to that point, and then wouldn't it have been hit following the next high? Maybe I am missing something.
