Sonic, tah i think something should be done, i am quick learner and i took 5 steps back as a trader coz people post all sorts of wounderfull things in here that has nothing to do with sonic.

Many times someone post something and never tell if it reached SL ot how bih was the takings, its like post what ever pops into they had and then to be shamed to show loss.

Yes, and no. In attached see examples of long trades, one where Dragon is not above Trend, and one where Dragon is above Trend. Ignore the fact I had to drop to the M1 chart to find two good examples on one chart.

As you can see, both trades were decent. Only by chance does one run longer than the other. Another pair of examples might show the opposite. The point being that there might be less risk, all other things being equal, if the Dragon is above the Trend for a long trade. But it does not necessarily mean the trade will run further.

EU short closed at DS1 (+18), GU long closed at TP1 (+23). Not a bad day at all.

Msis125125 is in little bit confussion with High BP. Whenever his BP goes high he is the only one who often use the word f**k on the thread. Here is the correct h4 high low indicator.

In my quest to simplify things, and get back to the basics with SonicR, I stumbled across this pdf.

It's a sort of compilation of SonicR things written in December of 2009 by someone named Vytautas. His last post in the thread was in February of 2010. I don't know what became of him (hope he's alright), but he seems to have vanished now.

I do not know the fellow, but I did find the pdf to be interesting. There is a bit of a language barrier hurdle to get over, but it's not too bad.

He espouses a more bare-bones approach to SonicR, and it is certainly worth the time it takes to read it (it's only 17 pages long).

I am just as guilty as anyone of wanting to find the "perfect indicator" but the fact of the matter is, we don't need it. We already have everything we could possibly need on the templates TAH has provided for us. We have all heard TAH preach that all the "fluff" is unnecessary (and quite possibly, detrimental) for trading the SonicR Way, but many of us just won't accept it.

So, if we are serious about wanting to trade the SonicR method of trading, we should make the decision to break free of all the baggage and get with the program. Until we do, we are not trading the SonicR method, and we are just kidding ourselves if we think we are.

Personally, I think you are headed in the correct direction, ArtfulDodger.

ddaytrader professed all that was needed were the price bars, Dragon and a working knowledge of support and resistance. He used the Day formula pivots (without mid-pivots) in the background of his chart as a guide to which historic S&R areas to chose for his TPs. That's it! And he was highly successful keeping it simple like that.

Whether one uses as a guide for selecting which historic S&R levels to place TPs at, a background of pivots, or whole/half numbers (natural S&R), or both, I concur that all that is truely needed are the price bars, Dragon and a working knowledge of S&R.

Some other aids came into being to help the trader, and are included in the Control Panel. Paramount are the range marks for the day, because these can definately help traders to keep TPs reasonably placed for the day. And the vertical market lines are a very important visual aide. Aside from those, really perhaps, everything else might be considered optional. And with the more "options" added, there is the danger of losing the simplicity that allows proper focus on the key elements: PA, Dragon and S&R.

Consider the simplicity of the attached chart. Don't know where PA is going next, or you're not sure? Perfect! We shouldn't know! We shouldn't even think we should know! What we should do is focus on the price bars, the Dragon, and wait for a proper setup. And at that time, study historic S&R to see where a run might pause, or stop for the day....

....PA, Dragon, S&R!

You have done wonderful job. This is i was searching. I am deeply reading the content. I feel Vytautas is directly teaching his experience about Sonic R through this PDF manual. I am in the 6 th page. I want to share some points from the PDF intresting.


I don't trade on "looks bearish" or "looks bullish." I trade on Highs and Lows. I leave the "looks bearish" or "looks bullish" for the "smart" people.



Do set your stop loss based upon support and resistance, and if price hits your stop, let the position be closed and move on to the next entry signal



I have found that when the entry point is too far above or below the dragon, then price often does not reach even the first TP.



Price does not care about news.



I have to read remaining in the morning.

Good morning Everyone,

Today a late starting after yesterday' long road journey covering more than 700Km. Needed some rest after that.

As my daily routine, I read post#1 again. It is back to the basics for me today and will spend more time looking into the problem in placing SL for trades.

Aussie had a good run for 3 days and right now looks like early sign of activity I see using VSA. The bulls may be taking a detour but the target remains the same 1.06. Good for some bears now to enjoy the sightseeing ...near to 1.033.

Good Trading Ahead to ALL.


Edit: Forgot to mention the H4 Double Inside Bar (DIB). Many traders will trade this as setup. Stay on the right side and wait out.

WIll the price break down the DPV or rebounce up? I don;t know that yet. But one thing that sure to me is when it broke down then i'll short it. but when it bounce up i do nothing till it borke the RWH see daily TF

The 4hr 50ema is a very strong resistance area. The 78 pips is approximate distance from my pending order. The RDL is also right below so I feel there will likely be a bounce there. If price action allows I will stay longer but I would be happy with 78pips and I do not want to be greedy.

Well i'd happy just to take 40 pips. If PA break the other SR then i'll go for another 70 pips. but for me 40 pips must be banked first.
