From what I can see, good possibility to slide further today. I'm just scalping today as market seems to be ranging and very undecided. GL

We are talking about different topic. Nevertheless, you are right saying I am overanalysing. Sometimes I get information overflow and then I need to shut down FF for a few months, dont read any more news than necessarry and sort it all out.

Anyway, right now we are talking about something different. I am trying to build excel software which will select hi/lo from a timeserie you insert. So lets say you insert DJIA since 1930 and program should select all swings and measure strenght of movement, volatility, height etc. PT is helping me with some mathematical stuff to get the program running.

Btw, I am looking at higher timeframe. Few posts ago, I recommended you to stop looking at that monthly pivot and look at monthly swing close after 2008 aftermath.

I know they are reducing the max amortization from 30 years to 25 years.

anyone else using fxpro?? This is the 2nd time they have crashed and had technical difficulties.. earlier this afternoon was for 30 minutes - now we're on 20 minutes and I need to do some adjusting if things arent going well...

It's probably not their fault. They are in Cyprus and the internet reliability there stinks.

I have been looking at it Tom. The monthly pivot is just a resistance point on shorter time frame that I look at (and as do many other traders). So it's a technical pivot and nothing else.

We have a monthly channel that has a down leg of about 3000 pips and a correction of about 2400. So if we continue the trend, we should be seeing a down leg of 3000 pips from out last top of 1.48xx which would put us near 1.18xx

Where's PT's hammer???

i entered a short on g/u just after 13-00, its where the directional movement crossed over. i was a bit worried that the dax line was over 20 but hey ho. i took approx 25 pips.

If you want excellent execution during heavy volume, you have to go with top tier brokers. Even FXCM gives me requotes at very busy times and their service is quite reliable. It mostly happens when price is banging against resistance or support where there is the most trading volume. That is why I prefer to use limit orders.

The key to a good broker is not whether or not they have problems, but rather whether or not they resolve the problems to your complete satisfaction in a timely manner. In that respect, I am happy with FXCM. Now if only they could improve their executions, I would be in heaven.

no it happens very often to be honest! and I still cant log on to close my trade, theyre not answering emails and their website wont load up
