the main volume of EURCHF is on EBS and not on Reuters, thats why.

DJ Swiss Exports Fall 3.7% In May Due To Eurozone Weakness, Strong Franc
ZURICH--Switzerland's exports fell in May as the country's companies struggled with weak economic growth in key European markets and the continued detrimental effects from the strong franc.

Exports declined 3.7% on year in real terms to 17.54 billion Swiss francs ($18.52 billion), Switzerland's customs office said Thursday.

In nominal terms, which exclude the impact of inflation, exports slipped 5.5% from last year.

Nine of the 10 main Swiss export sectors saw foreign sales drop, with paper and metal industries the worst performing.

But watches, a recent bright spot for the Swiss economy, continued their upward trajectory. Watch exports rose by 16.2% in May in nominal terms.

The economy in the Alpine country has been struggling with lower economic growth in the eurozone, its main export market.

The country has also been dealing with a strong franc which makes Swiss exports less competitive.

The currency has been relatively stable against the euro since September, after the Swiss National Bank imposed a floor of 1.20 Swiss franc per euro to check appreciation and provide some relief to exporters. The SNB recently said the franc is still highly valued at this level.

Imports fell a real 2% from a year earlier to 15.05 billion Swiss francs in May, and were down 1% in nominal terms.

"The backlog-of-orders component of the Swiss manufacturing PMI fell to its lowest level since May 2009 and leading indicators in the euro zone have also been weaker over the last months, suggesting weak demand for Swiss products from that region," he adds. 0903 GMT [Dow Jones] The Swiss export sector is still resisting pressure from a strong currency, the latest data shows, says ING economist Julien Manceaux. In May, exports rose 1.8% from April. "Given the current slowdown in the German export machine and a Swiss franc at 1.20 against the euro, the export sector is therefore in a better shape than what most were fearing one year ago," he says. does anyone feel that the downward pressure on the 1.20 floor has eased a bit in recent days? And the reason why we are still stuck here close to the floor is because SNB is still unloading near the floor? Fed has no QE3 just twist, USD/JPY now above 80 again. Tension should has eased a bit... Does SNB wants to keep this pair purposely close to the floor???any thoughts?

But I think SNB is unloading EURs. There is no point to keep this pair trading so low right? Jordan said last 14 Jun that CHF is still overvalued, any appreciation will be disastrous and CHF should weaken over time.

Yes, SNB has a big headache what to do with the load of EURs. - donate to Greece...
