Point is, France, Spain, Brittain, Netherlands those were THE nations, while they were pillaging America and Africa, but since 20th century, only Brittain was able to keep up with globalization when they turned the City into center of world derivatives operations.

And what about France who was used to loot America and Africa and had only farmers and culture at their homeland? They needed to find a new way how to participate in the world market. Way of a France was European project. They profit massively! Whole French agriculture lives only because of EU funds. Their crappy products are competable because of too strong currencies in weaker EZ countries.

The only thing French have nowadays, is EU.

Closed remainder of shorts after it failed to close below 1.2453 on the retrace. This is my support level. Hourly also failed to close below red (hourly) down trend line.

I think we're going to be range bound for the rest of the day, but who knows!

They got hit badly after WWI with hyperinflation...
You are absolutely right on every points you made: Lower Euro = better economy...

Thanks Tom for your reply. I don't know enough about the fundamentals and by asking the question I wanted to stimulate discussion and learn from the question.

As for the crappy products, I hope you're not talking about their food! Love French cooking!
