Once we get US numbers I believe we get another test of 1.251 level. Till Draghi, since hopium hits in, though speech is not significant.

haha Yes that would be a surprise.

Draghi cannot make that decision by himself. Before he can announce a rate cut, we would have to call an emergency meeting of the governing council and put it to a vote. Furthermore, the economic numbers have to support such a cut in their opinion. We're not quite there yet but soon.
Also in order to do it at an emergency meeting as opposed to a scheduled meeting, it would have to be justified as an emergency. I don't see a monetary emergency at this point... only a fiscal one and that's not the ECB's mandate.

I married a New Zealander who hates the cold. Shes a farmers daughter as well...does not want to stray too far from the family fold. I find rural New Zealand reasonably ok although they drive too fast over here. I'm used to a slower pace of life. My ideal would be to go back to a croft and fishing but trade occasionally for the luxuries.
The road to pipland is arduous and fraught with challenge.

I closed my small lower shorts that I opened yesterday. I didn't make a fortune on them but it was a nice bonus. I'm sufficiently levered up if this puppy falls today and also protected by a good distance if the market decides to bid it up... so I'm cool for now.

Very nice trades, do you have any earlier TP than 1.17 for any of those? I wish I still had my EJ going

Closed E/U at 62 for +20

Having a nice week. Getting lucky with my tight stops. 0.5 pips away from touching my stop at 2587 then finally rolled over.

Ok, we got bad news from US front.

Price took a little dive to USD positive, but was rejected in 1.2555 which is 50 fib of mornings dive and acting as a support for now.

It appears that though there is risk off and price should dive what ever results are, barriers are holding quite well. Also Draghi's speech may calm down market not to jump into wrong conclusions.

It is some bad US news but seems they take it as a good ones, or could have been way worse and euro is worse than us so we are going to lower the euro.

That's my thought on the news.

I don't have a TP on these trades. My target is 1.1750 area but I am not committed to it. Anything can happen between now and then. Merkel could choke on a pork schnitzel which would change the political landscape.

Also, I do take profit on trades. Every time I anticipate a major correction, I cover fully on lower shorts and occasionally do a partial short cover on the higher shorts.

Good day everyone, I released my entries was close on 1.2535 and one missed 1.2515 for 2 pips, so i close manually. Great 195 pips, I am cool now too waiting break 1.26 or 1.25

Anybody know where you can get a free live US stock (Dow) futures quote? I thought news would be "risk off" but perhaps stocks & other risks (Euro) need a breather.

FED pressing ctrl+P and then buying Euros lol
