See screen shot for entry. I'm taking the approach of a hard stop at 10 pips and take profit at 30 pips. Want to mix it up a little bit, since we have people testing a range of S/L and T/P combinations, some above the 5 min swing high/low others above the 1 min swing high/low.

Paulus & folks,

I wonder if we could improve the profitability of this system by only taking trades in the direction of the main trend.

For instance today looks like it could be a profitable trade, we will have to wait and see, but currently half way to my TP at +16 pips.

We have gone short today and the overall trend on the 15 and 30 minute charts is down.

Attachment shows down trend on 15 minute time frame.

I would be interested to see how many of the losing trades you have had Paulus were against the main trend.

Moving forward I am going to just forward test E/U. It is too much pressure monitoring the three in the morning as the potential signals seem to come too close to one another.

E/U is back to BE for the first 4 trades now anyway.

Interesting to see the vast array of results with this “system”.

As far as I’m concerned Paulus’ “system” simply presents a “foundation for exploration”, just add your own personality; in my case tweak stops and TP.

With that in mind, what if I just took the first trade of the session only and on EU 1min:
Mon 15% (+60); Tues 15% (+55); Wed -5% (-20); Thurs 5% (+20) and pending

………of course much bigger sample required

Stopped out at -10 pips, came really close to TP of +30, wondering whether using a hard TP of 30 pips is a bit ambitious on a 1 minute time frame.

Currently working on an EA to back test this strategy, so will optimize the SL and TP values and post results here shortly.

I was wondering whether to take a short or wait a bit in case it takes out the last 2 hours high ..... but its clear now

too subjective for me

I like black and white

This happens go to stage 2 this happens go to stage 3 etc

I very rarley post in the day I once lost allot of money because I got so involved with answering questions on a forum I was a moderator on didnt have a stop in the market and wipped about 2 months of gains away


Thats why my stuff is mechanical..no need to discuss setups..it is or it isnt

Find it interesting how if you draw the line from EU to UK open (sloping down right now) how well it acts as sup/res. Price has bounced off it 9 times right now.

But for the week +15%; with a tweak to SL, and just taking the first trade on Euro, each session.

……..+15% each week, that would be enough!
