Something I don't understand is, that all those shorties have very small range to make profit on this level (there are only a few pips downwards to the peg which will be defended strictly by the SNB). On the other side short trades in EURCHF must be very expensive because Swaps are negative (FxPro -4,15 EUR per lot - and this broker is one which pays a very good positive Swap on longs: 2,37 EUR per lot). So waiting in short positions must drive you in bankruptcy I think...

Actually a little % of all forex retails are trading eurchf (like 6%), now, these guys with an average of 500-1000usd in the account, are long.
I guess the snb spend entire days talking about this fact, and about that they would not raise the eurchf price because there are retail guys that have bought eurchf, and there is no free lunch in forex

just take me as an example. if i close now, i book a loss of 90% of my account. as a matter of fact, that means bankruptcy.

I would say far from promising as he said. Peg is extreme decision at the time of high over valuation and its not permanent solution.
lot of comments are dented so my view hold for now .. breaking of peg.. just looking for vindication & it will come with time.
Looking for peg supporting guys view.. negative peg news to positive

He say the peg is an extreme decision that may not last for long, but then he say it will last for now.
Looks like there is no intention of raise it at all, but then say that they remain ready to take further measures at any time (raise it).
The best thing for now i guess is taking in consideration only the chart, that's the only clear thing at the moment.
u r totally right if we think about this pair as a normal one, but we all know that this is not a pair which moved buy data or traders, just by snb and hedge funds. futhermore, as we all know that too, theres the famous 1,2 peg which can not be breached until snb does not want the market to do that, i considered this fact when i used all my margin for only this position. be absolutely sure, if i trade other pairs with other rules (no peg, no intervention, etc) i play more carefully and cut my lose more earlier

okay, i accept ur opinion and honestly, i mostly agree with u. but i tink in some cases there r 'special rules' and 'u have to be brave, if u want to be rich'. anyway, soros (whose name i know well, we r compatriots) thought the same in '92, so i think there r moments in the life when u have to risk. than time will tell u if u were right or wrong.
