Right, off for lunch, but thought I would warn all here that the market is about to move - yep, ole 45 here is about to place an order with an inverted order of magnitude size. Let's see how far I can move this baby with a 1 cent, 5 pip stop loss. Come on!!

Whether there is a recession or no recsession or just a technical recesssion (per yesterday's Uk q1 Gdp #) it doesn't matter - PA recently has been strongly bullish in gbpusd - so to trade against it is trading against what the market is thinking, - and the market is never wrong. It's that simple - it doesn't matter whet we think or what our analysis is/may have been - we can be wrong the market cannot. It will remain generally bullish until it isn't - ie until the market changes it's mind.

Why is the £ so strong against the U.s $ in the face of seemingly weak Uk economic fundamentals ? I have no idea - but I don't have to - which is just as well as I am not that smart - and I am in good company - the fact is that this to 6205 from 5234 has generally been bullish.

Pertinent point. Most of us here can only postulate as to the reasons for trends, but can certainly act upon the technicals. Funnies are great to moan about, but retail trading is something quite different.

if it stays like this..dont worry about pound..it will rise is the bottom line..no way traders going to buy USD is my feel - thats whats keeping me in ..

my advice to u seb is simply realise yur wrong and dont try and average yur position unless PA shows it..i was sure 1.52 would hold but i never bought because the trade just went wrong..becarefull not to add to a losing position unless u see a brick wall..

I think there was an internal memo from goverment official to the UK banks to co-operate in keeping the GBP/USD rate at this levels to screw up tourists...

if you are believing this rally it is the greatest mistake you are doing. I remember couple of weeks back the gbp was trading in 20 pip range for the entire day and then in 1 hr it tanked 60-70 pips.

price action today is somewhat similar to that day.

i am not knowing seb..is the honest truth..it might fall

problem we both have my friend is end of month..that means it moves with purpose either way it will tell us where the mofo goes longer term
