I have already done that 7 times.................. the only issue is that it first goes down 50% and then doubles back to 100%. That means even if I am twice as good as I am bad, cannot make money.

If you do the best you can, and take all the hours you need in a week................... Can you make $135 profit out of a $10,000 balance?

Or $13.50 out of a $1000 balance?

Really that is all you need.

I use myfxbook as my trading journal and also help to track my daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals.

Basically my goals are as follows:

Daily = 0.5% of capital gain
Weekly = 2.5% of capital gain (x5 of daily)
Monthly = 10% of capital gain (x4 of weekly)
Yearly = 120% of capital gain (x12 of monthly)

It's similar to setting Key Performance Indicators in the Corporate World where achieving targets that are set before hand drives motivation for employees.

I feel more and more motivated seeing my goals are close to being achieved / had been achieved.

Overall, since I started trading I'm still USD 3500 in the red (out of 5 busted accounts - totalling about USD 6000). My current stint since last September has helped me recoup up to USD 2500 in 7 months trading.

Having targets help motivate you (hopefully in the right manner). I've already achieved my weekly target this week with 4 trades in the Monday and Tuesday this week. Now any additional position I make is just icing on the cake.
Buy! Buy! Sell! Sell! Just make sure you have proper MM!

well if you allow me to say something about that,
i started big hoping to become a millionair, initially i startede with $3,000 increased it to $12,000 then lost all. got overwhelmed by this market and invested $50,000 well you know the rest of the story i lost all in less than 3 months.

after that, i came back to reality, the real life, i am working all the month to get around 10,000 in my regular job so how if i could get additional 4000 only to cover my expenses.

i set up a target profit (not pips as people sometimes mention) around 200 per day and thats it.

things are going lovely these days and i do not regret the big loss i had.

if i can maintain this 200/day thats it you will feel the benifit of this market at the end of each month. with extra 4000 and you are on your way to recover and to build a new way to your life.

Yeah... But the rules have to be clear...
If the target is achieve in less than 2 hrs, I think it is more like gambling.
Conditions is that, target hit must not be met by a sudden big drop/increase (have to remove this profit if it happen towards the calculation). It must be accumulative (it will train you to be patience)
$100 capital will be a good start if the broker you choose can allow you to trade as small as 50 units.
The above applies to newbies like myself. Of course it does not applies to seniors who knows what they are looking at.

Corporate KPI Policy is in reality a fallacy, when you consider the cost of development, implimentation and then maitanence, add it stringent H&S, govt & regeonal regulations, the overall cost out weigh the positive outcomes, especially when you consider white elephant non productive govt interference
Not get me wrong, KPI system does work, but it has to be kept in perspectice cost v outcome, I like you mm and agree losing is the greatest teacher, anyone who say they s never lost in this busines is full BS,

Stick to your plan bro, every journey bigins with 1 step, followed by many single steps, key is to keep eyeball on next step only never never look to destination, in reality destination is always changing, next step isnt

MORNING

Rat is out of her Long.
Although PA is bullish day trading wise
we are in a range have
been for 13 odd weeks now
13490 to 12980 so there is more
potential to the upside but Ill wait for the
London Open see how price develops.

if it starts breaking under 132 10 then shorts on the cards
if it starts going over 132 30 then longs on the cards


also to note there is a resistance at 13231 & monthly pivot & 13248 & 13287 so there is some traffic for
price to plough through on the upside.

Yes agreed, i am building ladies, but kiwi and aussie is hard to get fills, they at nice resist, but still above todays open, so a bit worrying, but too juicy to ignored
