Well, it depends... Actually the lower TFs is where you can see the trend turning.. That's where it happens.. If you want an exact entry you have to enter on the lower TFs IF the higher TF is at a point where it might have found a top/bottom. There's no way around it.. You enter and you take small bites while the higher TF is turning... then you let it run...

Thanks. Never thought of it that way. I've always been under the impression that lower time frames has a lot of noise, fake outs, etc... Also, I'm a part-time trader. When I wake up, I see what London did, then go from there. I'll put in a set and forget, then head to work. When I get home, the Asian session is the only scream time, I mean, screen time that I get. I'll scalp here and there, if I see a setup.

It's true, there is noise but not when the h1 is turning from a s/r. The failed closes and/or the HH/HL are visible on m5... Now of course they can be building a retrace on m15 WITHIN a bounce on h1/h4.. but that retrace can grow into a full reverse on h1 as well.. You don't know that until H1 starts making those HH/HLs itself but by the time you and I see that it's already too late and your r:r is not worth it anymore, or your SL has to be wider...

Here is an example from a Cloggie post a couple days ago

"There is a new one now, 3148 (instead of 3151). 3166 has changed slightly to 3158 so there you have the latest goss. 3260 still stands. "

See what I mean about specific numbers? It's not like he has a general area in mind. He has narrowed it down to the pip, and it changes with time. Anyways, I find it intriguing.

Like I said, I don't know about his method and I think it's better to focus on our own. He is an example indeed.. Focusing on our own method is time better spent. What I can tell you is what I do.. I do run into situations like that where the levels are already on the chart BUT I also use something else that tells me which one is more important than the other... confluence of two things if you like... If the "checker" moves (and that's usually something dynamic on the chart) and starts pointing to another level, then that's the one getting more weight. Cloggie does nothing special.. He is very experienced but understand there is NO magic..

Now I really have to go get some sleep..
