I think Extreme TMA is a great system, and it's only logical to use recovery method with it. But I'm psychologically retarded. I still like to trade with stop losses. Semafor was part of my effort to try to confirm more precise entries. I've studied this indi. I understand basically how to use it. Thanks for your help.

There are two ways to look at it, of course, but from my experience and from reading about the subject, especially the great William OīNeill books, a high short interest is dangerous for the longs. Selling begets selling. Donīt assume that because there are already many shorts, there canīt be many more. The immense majority of currency speculators are not short yet, plus, shorts can pyramid with even more shorts creating an avalanche.I for one tend to stay away from stocks with a high short Open Interest. What do all those people know that I donīt? A similar thing happens in Forex.

I basically agree with you but you have to admit itīs cool looking...

As far as adding positions, if you are in a scalping mode, you can trade the M5 or M15 bands in and out, but if you are going with a strong trend, what I do is add a little when price retraces to center line and I see a two bar stall. It works like a charm. Especially when the M15 is inside a rising H1 and H4 channels (For long, opposite for short). When M15 reaches the top of H1, I stop adding because the probability of M15 coming down or sideways to H1 opposite band is high.

To see you trade live would be great training Al may I ask have you ever made a video of your trading?

I did my first video of closing a trade this week with Camtasia Screen Recorder (freeware), I thought why not document them on video instead of just saving a screenshot chart? I can replay the glory lol!

In my view, the psychology is simple to understand. As price falls, it attracts more and more buyers simply due to the fact that price is "cheaper" than it was a day or two ago. Humans are naturally attracted to "bargains". So itīs not that a growing number of longs makes price falls, it is that as price falls the number of longs increases.

That would be quite boring. Even if you place 15 trades in a day, that means 45 minutes of nothing going on between trades. Since when I trade, I am pretty much "In the Zone" jumping from chart to chart like crazy, analyzing hundreds of hidden little things, seeing this on a video would make no sense to an outside of my head observer.

I always use recovery,no stop loss.Levels for recovery approx.-1Levelivot point +
(HI yesterday-LOyest.) but not less than your entry price+ADR .
2Level: First recovery+(HIyest-LOyest).
3Level: Second recovery+(HIyest-LOyest).
This is for Longs,for Shorts Instead of"+" shold be"-".
I use the next formula 1(initial trade)+3 (first recovery)+6 (second recovery).

Guys, I was checking out the new Sharp Aquos 80 inch HD LED screen this morning. Wow! is that cool. I was seeing myself trading with that thing. Do you know how many charts I can fit in that...?

Couple that with my Di Novo Mini (Logitech) that I just bought and Iīm already in love with and that, my friends, is trading paradise. You have to have more winners with this setup...

awesome screen is 1080 and pixel resolution 1920 x 1080 so I am guessing you should get the same amount of charts, albeit larger/clearer. Buy it anyway Al it looks fantastic and you can afford it! the Logitech is really neat too, cool design

I don't know much about anything but I have been following this thread for a few weeks and trading by it's rules.

IMHO what we are doing is looking for a turning point in price, after price has extended and gone outside the TMA upper bands we are now looking to sell after we have other confirmation like TMA value between +.50 and -.5, TMA value falling, fast trix crossing slow trix, HA candle turned/flashed red.

In a ranging market we don't have to try and pick the absolute top although it's great when that happens, most the time if we use a small (relative to account size) Lot size there is room for maneover.

But if price for whatever reason (news, sentiment, disaster etc) decides to carry on up after we have entered short, the slope value goes above +.50 then there is not much we can do about it. It would have been impossible in my opinion to predict this move.

So I am not sure how valuable the ZZ semafor indicator is, I did try this indicator over a year ago from a guy called TRO, TheRumpledOne.
If you just look at Semafor 3 and 4 it certainly tells you when price is overextended and a possilbe turn around in price is likely but if you mark when a 3 or 4 appears with a horizontal and vertical line on your chart you will see that it can often be pushed a lot higher and futher in time across to the right of the chart.

As you know all repainting indicators are prone to do this and I am pretty sure there is no such indicator to tell us the absolute top/bottom of a move that does not repaint, otherwise trading would be easy we would all be very wealthy.
