They need to announce some meeting like last month and the pair will go up.

The pair didn't even pass 1.203 and you want to put your seat belt ). Maybe, tomorrow they will announce "We take out the peg" and then you can put again your seat belt

Tomorrow SNB will only announce their proposition for new SNB President. The government will have to approve of him next Thursday. And then we may hope of something more..

SNB is doing the proposition?

I think no one knows the internal decision system, but currently no head and 1 member missing from the 3 board. Quite leaky. I would expect measures from the government - if any - tomorrow rather than SNB beacuse maybe more time needed after inauguration. Hope for positive suprises.

Hi,
I am new in this forum, however I was watching your conversations in the last days. It is great to see that much opinions and get informed if there are some news in the EUR/CHF market.
I will share my opinion about EUR/CHF with you:
I see the following situation:
When I saw the "peg breaking" last Thursday I was getting really nervous.
I couldn't understood, that the SNB wasn't start defending the peg at a 1.2005-10 level so that there can't be any breach of the 1.20 in any seperated market. So there would not have been a need to talk about the defending strategy like on Tuesday.
What could be the reason?
The only reason could be to force us traders to lower our s/l from 1.1999 for example to 1.1980.
So for the next attack on the peg there is more room in the area lower than 1.20 and it's easier to defend without large amount of s/l directly behind. Nevertheless I would have prefered SNB start defending the level not at 1.20 but at 1.2005.
The situation at the moment:
At the moment Jordan has not that reputation in the market like Hildebrand… and he must know it (seen all that contrary reactions in the market).
If he will be elected as president of SNB, he must have a big surprise for the market.
Otherwise the SNB will be tested on the peg x times.
The only surprise could be to raise the peg to 1.25 or higher with some more words that the CHF is still overvalued and the peg could be rised again at any time.
What would the market do with this information?
--> Go up to 1.26 - 1.28 because the market has seen they are willing to improve the peg and it could happen any time again.
For me the only way is that they improve the peg in the next days after electing Jordan to president.
Otherwise Jordan will have no more reputation to loose and can read 3 times a week that the peg was broken again and again.
We will see!!!

Rest assured if nothing positive comes out of tml's meeting, it's gonna test the floor in a vigorous fashion...

ahah nah i don't belive it may be able to go lower than a few pips below the floor, but you can always open an account in some shit broker u'll see a vigorous floor testing
