eur weakness...my a&#!
On 2012 January the 16th. EUR/USD rate was 1.263.
On that day E/CHF rate was 1.2054.
Today EUR/USD rate is a tiny bit higher (only 500 pips) 1,314, where is the E/CHF rate...?

with the statement of Mr. Jordan yesterday, the market don't support SNB like before. For 2 days, the eur/chf is 1.2010 - 1.2015, the market is ready to act especially the day when snb names Jordan as the new president

that they swap usd for eur to have liquidity short eurchf.
i cant know if that is true but it seems clever to me.

you know i was finding interesting what coolcaps4u has said - i think was him.

The market makers will swing EUR/USD and USD/CHF big to make profits.... Liquidity required which EUR/CHF buyers are providing

Something is definetely going on in the background.
Too strong CHF is not good for their economy. So they must defend the peg.
But of course at the same time they don't want to spend too much money doing it.
Above that Mr. Jordan may only disguise of being soft handed (The fact is he cannot act/intervene as president because he is not the president just yet).
If they are not doing anything the market will trend towards breaking the peg forever...trying to break it time-by-time...and they will have to spend a lot of money to defend it although stretched over in a longer time frame.
So it might be possible there will be multiple announcements on Friday:
- name the president
- intervention
- raise the peg
- introduce a new deposit tax, etc.
Then bears will learn to quickly move back to their caves and not play with the SNB

My buy order is at 1.185 ...small..
big 1.17
stop loss 100 pips down...
...if that will happen, SNB will lose their credibility in the interbanking system because at those values even there will be under 1.20. But, with the help of your broker, maybe you can achieve those values if he will do for you a "special" spread.It's a very, very small probability (but not impossible) to reach those so low levels with actual SNB commitment.
