But I think this kinda strategy is good for normal situation not for intervention. During intervention and huge spike all of ur buy stop maybe get triggered at the top the move and u will lose ur money in retracements which make ur situation worse. So, u can't rely based on ur plan which ur first buy stop open then close then next one then next one ....

This is a pair I would not trade at all. It's far too risky to trade either direction.

Those going long with big positions on the hope that the SNB will bail them are playing a very dangerous game as it could spike either direction very quickly. I would say there's a bigger chance of seeing a big spike down than up as there is a massive amount of longs in comparison to shorts when looking at different broker open positions.

Indeed i am... hell ive even got pending longs lined up at 1.19 and 1.18 and i will continue adding if SNB keeps talking about Defending 1.20 any spike below 1.20 is an interest for me to long


Well i'd be honest with you... back when EURCHF was trading at 1.10 or somethign like that... i wasnt paying much attention because SNB intervention to peg CHF to 1.20 EUR came out of no where... i was however at that time which was Long USDCHF at 0.80 panicked at first since as you can see last summer USDCHF kept falling to as low at 0.71 but i knew the SNB would step in and when they step in inteventions goes easily a thousand pips for them... unlike the Japs simply because theres not much Demand for the CHF for it to be offered heavily... but yes i have been a serious "CHF bear" over the past years...
BTW though i didnt catch the initial move from 1.10 peg to 1.2, i did however manage to trade EURCHF when opportunity presents itself... managed to Long at 1.22 when there were rumors that EURCHF would raise the peg to 1.25 or even 1.30, well i managed to tp that one on 1.25, then ever since EURCHF been intervenned alot less as orders to short is starts getting heavy and SNB cant do it alone as it gets expensive...
but as i say i wouldnt be surprise if SNB is planning something with some banks to shore up 1 billion euro to wipe out the stops below 1.2 just to make it easier for SNB to make the next big 500 pip intervention if they wanted to...

so to answer your question wheter if it was costly to the SNB yes it would be costly for them to hunt for the Stops Alone... thats why ive been saying the SNB are in cahoots with other banks liek ECB, ACB, IMF, BIS and goldman sachs and jp morgan... you name it.. to shore up 1 billion euro to take out stops (ie Sell stops and Long Stop Losses) worth as much as 20 billion euro...


As i probably say to many otheres here.. As long as SNB says 1.20 is the area they will protect... i will never try to short it against a SNB who is capable of printing as much CHF as they want just to weaken the CHF... i just wont...

for sure they have a reason to not intervene, a ideal thing yesterday would be to buy enough eurchf to put the pair back to 2050, and from there buyers would probably comed and a nice uptrend started.
But no way they just don't want the pair to go up, looks like they want the pair to stay exactly at 1.20, i mean we all know that if something stay near a support for enough time it will break for sure, so what's the point of let this s@#* stay soo near?
I really don't understand what game they're playing... but let's see there must be some kind of intelligent reason for all this to be happening.
