was asking because i don't know what people mean by "false break out" and so i'm trying to get my own idea about.
in the past i had to "discuss" with a friend about this thing and so probably i have a wrong idea about the meaning of it.

Ok sorry BB. (To me) a false breakout is a price break of a high or low (particularly when the high or low is sitting at an imortant fib like 5990 is) followed quickly afterwards by a price reversal. It catches buyers/sellers off guard who buy/sell these breakouts, targetting the resistance/support, or fib etc, only to see price go against them soon afterwards. This is precisely why I hate stop orders.

Wow... 3-4 times bigger, i like this .....with your method, you will get more pips from both side sell and buy, the key is momentum when you will close these positions one by one......

Come on Smikester, the best traders arent in here. My win rate and others I know of, are way above 65% and I just follow my signals. I really don't wish to shake anything up but I thought that was out of place. Wife is home after a week away. Got to go

smike-again no offence here but as one of the traders said those days ''before, we used to think the earth was flat''

this is why we need to get over some fix ideas that some things are impossible

another good thing to proove that many things are wrong is the relativity theory as it is based on the light speed as absolute speed.

everybody know it is wrong as photon is not the fastest particle but nobody can proove it yet.

what I do to achieve this numbers is divide account in 3 or use 3 accounts

one is long term
one is scalper one is mid term


on one account I use 1/3 of the balance as value of 1 account and trade using MM only to that 1/3

1/3 I use it if my trade is trapped for longer period of time (scalping for a living)

the last 1/3 I use it as a buffer for DD

Normally on long term shots I try to hold a 500 pips DD as a max but it depends on the charts.

then again I don't know who the Leader is nor try to be one.just want to share period.

uff i have a different idea about this but it is due to purely meaning of the words:
a breakout is a breakout. means that a price broke up/down of a level where previously did not 1-2-1000 times.
so, by definition it can't be false, otherwise it would not exist.
then i agree, there are kind of brekout where price simply break and go in that direction without turning back, even 15pips. and there are breakouts which are in strong levels and in strong pressure areas, so happens a lot of taking profits, stop loss, stop orders, new orders etc... so price goes insane for some time (1 to unlimited minutes usually) and can also strongly reverse.

i'm just realizing that people maybe call "false break out" the second scenario.

Daily chart shows the previous swing hi zones (potential resistance) and the one going to 6165 is also a previous weekly swing hi...between those and down to current daily hi are just fibs and calculated pivots really.

It's not a fractal swing on this daily t/f yet but wherever it comes @ today's current hi or above - it will be a HH on this daily t/f...so 3 x HL's and 2 x HH's now.
