well to be honest fibo I started using it a few weeks ago and I have no idea how to use it properly(never knew that fibo works only on trending market
)as I mentioned some posts ago I don't use it that often as I don't trust the levels.always the price gets some pips +- those levels.I do know one trader on this forum using it pinpoint....
I only use the fibos on those charts to give a confirmation to the ones interested in this type of charts for both entry and TP's as this is the only logical way to proove there is a reason behind the moves.
the whole strategy I use is based primarily on mathematical calculations I did for the past years....calculations that are more or less same as fibo ratios.
based on the fact that if one thing happened once in the past there is little chance to happen again in the future but if one thing happened twice there is a good chance to happen again(same as all trading styles) and based on the experience I just trade this way.
yesterday I post that 1.5846 is a fibo good for a long with TP's at the circled areas in the charts 1.5909-5915 and 1.5935
same as fibo levels and R levels plotted on the charts.trades were taken,trades were covered and completed so from my point of view all was fine.
others that have a diff view on the charts using trendlines and other lines or indies see diff things.
some are more conservative some are more risk takers.
each trader is unique.
I will be more than willing to test what you just told me about the fibo ratios.
I'll take screenshots at all the charts when I see the setup forming and the fibo levels and I will check to see if they match and if they are of any good.
yesterday and in the past they worked fine but if you say that in ranging market they don't work that well.....I will check again.told you I have diff calculations for my targets and entries as well

actually not necessarily... apparently the PREVIOUS data's been revised up... so it not reaching forecast isnt a surprise since the forcast hasnt taken into consideration that the previous was not the correct figure...
but whats important is... today's ACTUAL figure is still LOWER than the PREVIOUS...
that should still mean a drop in unemployment, if very little though....i wonder what 5k less unemployment claims would mean.... probably not significant...

meaning for that trade I had 25.9 pips profit meaning 251.16 usd
16.251 pips profit equiv of 162.990 usd as current balance
next reading above only adds up the pips and the money on that trade
last reading is some 165.000 USD as current balance it does not mean you have to add all the 160k on all those trades mate.
balance adds up that's all
in the meanwhile...other trades were opened and closed....but if you pay attention to the posts and not to the personal opinions you would see that the charts I post I post before the move happens and if you look later you will see the price moves acc to charts.
as I said.take it or leave it.you have your own trading way I have mine.
but to say that if anybody else uses ichi is a looser it's kind of way out of line.it's like you are just lying to yourself that only you have the supreme truth and the rest are just maggots or what ?

See that's the problem - you want me to trade like someone that I am not. You say why not short it last May and let it run - to me that is hind sight. Did you short it last May and let it run?
My personality does not allow me to hold positions for a long time - as a trader you have to realize your personality and trade accordingly. Also I trade futures so I do not have the luxury of holding things for months on end - futures expire.
I normally put on a fairly decent size trade (meaning position size) and I look for the appropriate move -
And...
you have it you scale it and move SL to BE and close partially and do all possible to protect the profits.
