well to be honest fibo I started using it a few weeks ago and I have no idea how to use it properly(never knew that fibo works only on trending market )
as I mentioned some posts ago I don't use it that often as I don't trust the levels.always the price gets some pips +- those levels.I do know one trader on this forum using it pinpoint....

I only use the fibos on those charts to give a confirmation to the ones interested in this type of charts for both entry and TP's as this is the only logical way to proove there is a reason behind the moves.

the whole strategy I use is based primarily on mathematical calculations I did for the past years....calculations that are more or less same as fibo ratios.

based on the fact that if one thing happened once in the past there is little chance to happen again in the future but if one thing happened twice there is a good chance to happen again(same as all trading styles) and based on the experience I just trade this way.

yesterday I post that 1.5846 is a fibo good for a long with TP's at the circled areas in the charts 1.5909-5915 and 1.5935

same as fibo levels and R levels plotted on the charts.trades were taken,trades were covered and completed so from my point of view all was fine.

others that have a diff view on the charts using trendlines and other lines or indies see diff things.
some are more conservative some are more risk takers.

each trader is unique.

I will be more than willing to test what you just told me about the fibo ratios.
I'll take screenshots at all the charts when I see the setup forming and the fibo levels and I will check to see if they match and if they are of any good.

yesterday and in the past they worked fine but if you say that in ranging market they don't work that well.....I will check again.told you I have diff calculations for my targets and entries as well

but whats important is... today's ACTUAL figure is still LOWER than the PREVIOUS...
that should still mean a drop in unemployment, if very little though....i wonder what 5k less unemployment claims would mean.... probably not significant...

another GU long on M15 with fibo levels

please find attached charts.entry on the 61.8% with TP 1 @ flat blue line and flat kumo top which is same as 50% fibo on downmove and TP 2 @ 61.8% on same downmove

both targets touched for 45 pips

That is a hard thing to do - even for me.....as I got caught earlier this week "thinking" price should move down and it went up - just sharing some of my insights -

please have a look on H4 chart with an entry @ 50% fibo and reload @ 61.8% as it is same as bottom kumo which is R area and on M15 you can see the TP1 and TP2

it is unique..... sometime it is in one direction and sometime in opposite reaction and some time calm going nowhere... every movement can be explain if you want..... justification is arround us...
the most important is not being trapped with our perception, you know perception is tend to subjective.

thanks faller, i like how you share your system, take it easy, it could be wrong and could be right, that is trading...

That was me, Faller, after I vouched for you. I don't like it. For example what if you had shorted cable in May, last year? A better "bon mot" in my view would be "take partial profit when you can, and let your free trade run from break even if you think it might make more""

Don't change it...it is your trademark...

Oya, hard to measure the vouches because trader earning 10pips compared to a trader earning 100pips, but making the same amount of profit, is not the same. The difference is one making long confident trade and one making scalp risky trade...right kevin??

The behaviour of cable reacting the news sometime unpredictable, it make trading not easy.....you know, the movement drived by trader perception which bring to operation, perception tend to subjective. The most important is not being trapped with our perception. Subjective mean far from seeing the thing properly.

See that's the problem - you want me to trade like someone that I am not. You say why not short it last May and let it run - to me that is hind sight. Did you short it last May and let it run?

My personality does not allow me to hold positions for a long time - as a trader you have to realize your personality and trade accordingly. Also I trade futures so I do not have the luxury of holding things for months on end - futures expire.

I normally put on a fairly decent size trade (meaning position size) and I look for the appropriate move -

And look at what is happening right now - 50 pip move to the upside - even though everything (in my opinion) is pointing south. These are huge swings and I am not sure many people could handle those swings if they are holding big positions - someone earlier was kind of scared because they had 4 lots -

So I say - I don't trust any move....when you have profit....take it!!! It does not mean 1 or 2 pips......yesterday was over 70 pips....today was 40 pips and if you go back and look at my posts you will see that it was very decent profit. NOW if I held my position from yesterday at the moment I would only be showing about 20 pips profit. and it 4AM this morning I may have gotten scared or stopped out or manually closed the position at pretty much break even.

So getting back to my point - sorry for the long post........We are all different traders. I think it would be wise for us to post what kind of trader we are when we post out comments here.....actually I think that is a great idea.....I think that everyone should put a line in the signature box indicating the type of trader they are - that way when you make a call...ie long or short etc...we can look at your signature and see if you are a 5 min chart trader therefore a day trader scalper.....or if you say long cable like nAVIN he would have in his signature that he is a long term position trader.....that way maybe we would understand everyone more.....and we would not bash or try and change how a trader trades....based on his personality.

read again the list from the bottom and this above should be the first read.

meaning for that trade I had 25.9 pips profit meaning 251.16 usd
16.251 pips profit equiv of 162.990 usd as current balance


next reading above only adds up the pips and the money on that trade

last reading is some 165.000 USD as current balance it does not mean you have to add all the 160k on all those trades mate.

balance adds up that's all

in the meanwhile...other trades were opened and closed....but if you pay attention to the posts and not to the personal opinions you would see that the charts I post I post before the move happens and if you look later you will see the price moves acc to charts.

as I said.take it or leave it.you have your own trading way I have mine.
but to say that if anybody else uses ichi is a looser it's kind of way out of line.it's like you are just lying to yourself that only you have the supreme truth and the rest are just maggots or what ?

Hey, Faller, take it easy. I'm definitely not bashing. No, I didn't take it, it was just an example. But I routinely trade in 3 parts, 1 : 1 ; 3 : 1 ; 6 : 1, with a move to BE at 1 : 1. I'm not trying to change you. I'm recommending better trading practise.

If you have a better than 50% win ratio then you will make a profit with 1 : 1, but if you have a better than 50% win ratio and let some partial trades run (where there is no visible S/R level) you will make vastly higher profit, with less work.

Some people take partial (most) at their target, and let the rest trail.

I've been waiting any senior in here saying this.....as a matter of fact, before I post my charts and entry and successful trade, I always inform that I'm a scalper right???
