DislikedHi. Please tell me if I am doing something wrong, but the EA appears grey in the navigator window, which MT4 help says means it isn't compiled correctly and EA can't be used. I've not used any EA before, so I am a bit dumb in this field.

DislikedThe ea is compiled fine. When it's in grey it means that it is an ex4 file which cannot be altered. The code can't be viewed of changed. It's fine to use.Ignored

DislikedI've been playing around with the zigzag indicator to see if it helps define the trend a little better and it does look quite good. I think it is better to drop the sma rule and just use the zigzag indicator that comes with metatrader under custom indicators. You can change the first setting to define larger or smaller swings if you want. I set most of them to 15 but needed 30 on eurusd to define the swing I wanted properly. You can change it as and when you want to so it's not exactly curve fitting, you're just changing it to the conditions. I've...Ignored
