Everyone that is trading and getting killed in the whipsaws needs to do one thing. If you are loosing trades you need to stop trading because there is light volitility and any market movements will be highly magnified 2X.

What you should be doing is backing out to longer timeframes and look at the patterns and what is actually happening.

For example. I have been talking for a few days now about the downchannel in EURUSD. I have made multiple posts and if you look closely at the screenshot you will see that price action is broken out but it...

My god I'm getting sick of the backlogging. Apparently a short signal turns out to be invalid since it repaint the extreme indicator like 10 bars back.......... It was all red first..... Practically the system tricks you into trades and invalidates them after...... Any solution to this? It's driving me crazy!

Yes, I update the chart at every new bar!

Thanks for the explanation on whipsaws, following the higher timeframes and entering on the lower is, in my eyes, a pretty large edge.

My 1hr down channel is a little different from yours and price still remains inside it and travelling south from just touching the upper line. Daily will also form a pinbar if price doesn't travel to much further north in the next 6hrs.

I know it by heart. The problem is not the repainting, I can deal with that. The problem is the backlogging. The system will often give you a valid signal, making you enter (After you have refreshed the charts) then it will erase the signal backlogging like the signal never occured. What do you do in these cases?

Use the Matrix and enter on the second row of signals. Solved.

The reason it's now hovering outside is probably because of that Psych level of 1.3100 would have blocked it from remaining inside the channel.

Psych level breaks, it will definitely resume it's channel.

Round numbers are always hard to break especially if they have been fought over very much....and alot of bulls and bears have died at 1.31000.

Gbp/Usd is flirting again with 1.57. If it breaks big, Eur/usd follows suit.

my short closed correctly.

so this was my 4th trade today with total -1.53% loss.

overall +6.2% since Feb. 27th. nice result but this whipsaw days cost much.
i'd like to have a crystal ball to know when such days occure.

Could this be a classic set up for Buy the rumor, sell the news tomorrow? I just can't get myself to pull the trigger on the long after symphonie lined up under pivot.

this question is about the stop loss... i read that you recommended 30 pips and then higher sl on higher tf... if you are using the signaler should you just be using the sl given?

Also, in this signal i got at 1.3137.. there wasn't any pullback and it shot up 20 pips before a extreme signal came to pull out...

would this case be at the trader's discretion whether to go right in or wait for a pull back?

I didn't go in because the stoch on the5m was at the top even tho it was still blue on the confirmation

how would you guys have analyzed this situation??
