I know it by heart. The problem is not the repainting, I can deal with that. The problem is the backlogging. The system will often give you a valid signal, making you enter (After you have refreshed the charts) then it will erase the signal backlogging like the signal never occured. What do you do in these cases?

if you neither have the signaler nor the matrix, here, attached the auto refresher, refreshes on the TF you are in

Thanks Yelena,
I use in fact the Matrix and I experience often that I have to reapply the template for the whole system to properly update. Now, I'm not discrediting the system. I think that there may be something wrong with my Metatrader on my Laptop, but I wish I was sure what was really wrong. I will investigate further, right now it requires me to be glued to the screen manually updating an that can be quite stressy! I'll let you know, thanks again folks!

By the way, since the market was really boring today I decided to share with you this video on Risk Management. This should clear up any doubts about MM. Enjoy!

Martinius,

You just said the magic word that I have noticed in your post. That word was ''laptop''. I have 3 desktop units and a notebook and a notepad. I have metatrader loaded on all of them. However, because laptops have power restrictions to worry about the performance.

This translates in to changes in the type signals you receive between a laptop and a desktop computer. I have found that the signals on my desktops tend to be more accurate and timely compared to my laptops. I have even seen my laptops give false signals when my desktops show none.

Why does it do that??? I think is has to do with the type processors, motherboard configuration, and power software that can slightly modify the signals you receive in Metatrader. If someone with more knowledge can explain these differences between desktops and laptops it would be most appreciative.

In conclusion, I recommend you use a desktop computer to do your trading because the signals (for me) are more reliable on my desktops versus my laptops.

Aha! I suspected this actually, but couldn't wrap my mind around it... I use my Laptop when I travel to Sweden often. Home in Norway I have a pretty good PC with Metatrader, but I never kept an eye out for these big differences. I'll check it out when I'm back in Norway.

Speeking of which: Do you guys think that converting these indicators to use with Metatrader 5 could be something to try out? Maybe it would improve the indicators even more... I certainly have been curious about this... And is this conversion a difficult thing to do/code? I know that many brokers don't support MT5 yet, but many are starting to implement it. My broker (Alpari UK) already does and it would be interesting to test it's capabilities with Symphonie. Just my 2 cents

Anyway, thanks for the kind help Eval. I really like this system and I really want it to work for me!

Well, usually market looses steam after London closes and we go into late US session so yes, it's not the most ideal time to trade. Still plenty of opportunities may show up on a good day. The best period for trading still remains from Frankfurt open until mid US session though. Asian session is usually quite calm, but offer great opportunities on asian pairs like USD/JPY. EUR/USD works too during Asian session, but don't expect the same movements as in the London session.

I run multiple windows, applications and multiple symphonie template TF's wireless without any issues. Down times, you can play some donkey kong.

hi Evaluator,

I am glad using your symphonie system.....i like its sweet symphonie mix...lol.....i want to ask you one important question.....wat trading platform you use bcoz i am using cofx and the symphonie signal v. 1.7 are giving signals but i have marked that all the signals are late by around 6-7 candles in M5......so kindly suggest me a way out so that i can rectify this.......i guess there is a time gap which is delaying the signals by few candles......

I am awaiting your response....

Regards,

K4u

hey guys if your having a repainting problem where like the last 10 extreme bars paint I would recommend you use the settings on post 1.

This helped me tons and is alot more "noob" friendly until you get acustomed to the signals and how the system works..

Yes, the unchanged cash rate in NZ seem to have triggered NZD shorts! Probably speculators expected a rise in the chas rates and got dissapointed.
