For the moment, nothing much to do here. I will be back tomorrow to see if there're any nice price action. The important view for your consideration could be like this :

SHORT scenario
If today we end up still under 5900 or even 5800 what I want to see is we retrace a bit, presumably testing 5900 again and fail to break it up then I would consider SHORT position TP around 5600 (this is my next major support) or

LONG scenario
we got a huge pinbar in 4 hours, testing support 5900, fail to break support then I would consider LONG TP around 6100 (my next major resistance)

Thats me for the day, next week looks promising.

My GBP/JPY sell order @ 129.69 was missed by 0.2 of a pip, how unlucky is that, it then went on to move down almost 50 pips aswell right after, ah well.

I thought it only happens to me . My account balance would be far more healthier if I hadn't missed so many trades by a few pips. My only consolation in those situations is that my setups were correct (almost!).

Anyway, I am sure you will get those missed pips next week.

Correction prior to the coming week that may be very volatile? central banks rate + NFP.
Time will tell.

worst thing that happened to me was to have nearly the best plan ever, and for some reasons (busy, away from charts, lack of confidence etc...) even not got the trade.
i also found consolation thinking that at least, i was right... but damn sometimes is really not easy to accept!

worse for me seems like its a recurring theme and fxcm says they don't chase stops but i placed my sl at 130.10 and my trade got taken out because the ASK just reached above my SL LIKE 0.2 PIPS and then retreated for 100 pips!!!! This has happened about 5-6 times of losing a trade WITHIN the spread... either my stops are chased or i'm a god of picking a bad SL and maybe take some very highly leveraged trades where I put my sl but use as entry with 1 or 2 pip sl lol

means u are placing stop at support or resistance..if this is hte case then it will happen much more

remember support/resistance are like magnet..price is attracted to them

no i understand this concept already and I placed it 10 pips above 130 which was the s/r, the 8 extra pips prior to LO was purely chasing stops and since spread was > 2 pips it got my 130.10 what a POS, happened many times even once on gold before it went on a $150 run.

Actually 130 was above the resistance and I though ti twas safe, but I thought again because of the previous incidences and increased it another 10 pips for safety... feels like even if I put it at 130.50 it would go hit my stop and then come back ... lol just seems that way...

Infact it happened right before LO 2 mins before exactly and within 1 min jumped 10 pips took my stop and retreated back down... and its always this way... happens within the minute bar. What luck hey? Just funny that my SL is able to pick tops and bottom within 0.1 pips lol!!
