I think the 2nd LTRO could see net new liquidity of
EUR 275-300bn - significantly higher than the EUR 193.4bn from the December operation.

The MRO and 1-day operations essentially saw banks switch liquidity from
the former to the latter. The 1-day allocation of 133.9bn is likely to be
fully rolled into the 3-year operation. Keep in mind that in December the
MRO still had 169bn outstanding, which is considerably higher than the
current 29.5bn. This is another indication that the stigma of going to the
ECB has diminished, increasing the prospect of a large take-up at the LTRO.

In addition to the 1-day operation, there are also liquidity shifts related
to how much of the maturing 3-month (38.6bn) and 6-month (49.8bn) are
rolled not only into the 3-year LTRO but also into the 3-month LTRO.
Overall, the net adjustment to the headline 3-year is likely to be in the
region of around 200bn. I think that the net new liquidity will be around
275-300bn.

Depends on a definition of short term and long term. Very short term (day or two) I think bull (we are currently in Elliot 5 wave of the upper trend from feb 16 and the question is how high can it go).

Some of those bln will go to riskier assets (at least market thinks so). So (short term within a week) if LTRO <400 then it means less into riskier assets and USD stronger, we will try to reach maybe 1.352 and then down.

If LTRO>500 then it means more into riskier assets and maybe we can squeeze to 1,36 or even 1,37 and then down.

On long term (month or two) there are too many variables to make a good guess.

Thats just my opinion. We will see how it goes...

The headlines and focus today is clearly on the
ECB's 3-year LTRO but we should also remember that there are plenty of BoE
speakers on tap today.

BoE Governor King along with Bean, Tucker and Posen are all speaking at
09.45GMT before the TSC hearing on the inflation report. All the members
except for Posen are likely to stick to BoE Fisher's view of needing to
stay "open minded" with regards to further easing.

While the BoE members will give nothing away in terms of what happens in
May they will be asked as to how to make QE more effective, as well as
whether their view on inflation has changed now that the price of oil in
GBP hit a record high.

Later in the day we also have BoE's Weale speaking at 18:30GMT. Having
flip-flopped on his view, it is likely that Weale will look to play it safe
and stick with the majority that does not hold a strong opinion as to the
next move.

I will short after unemployment comes out because I'm expecting good results there.

Euro goes up in 5min I short.

then wait for LTRO.
