Shorted at 1.3047. Some level of risk here. I am still remaining bearish till price break 1.3054.

Same here! shorted from 1.3066, SL:1.3125, TP: 1.2985, looks like the bear almost taking the market from the bull which has been climbing vigorously these past weeks

I would have to go through all timeframes but most significant are:

Intraday upside 1.3074/83/89/96, 1.3105/20/30 but may go higher with positive outcome from Greece negotiations.

Downside that 1.3039/38/29 and 21/11, 1.2999/97/93/76 and drop to 30.
They think they are smarter than I am.

having said that
the basket is composed of:

58.6% Euro
12.6% yen
11.9% GBP
9.1% CAD
4.2% Swedish Krona
3.6% CHF


That is the reason I say that The Euro will dictate the strength of the USDX as all the other currencies combined amount 41.40%
so a change in the Eur/Usd...
BUt EUR, yen, CHF, etc. correlate each other when one move it will affect the other. This co-movement add up to EUR effect on USD. I just want to check if it holds, data don't lie. Have u ever heard of CGE, when one factor move others will follow with a certain degree the effect would add up to the next step of calibration and so on.

Big negative miss on Swiss PMI ... there is a Swiss government meeting today as the EUR/CHF pair continues to move toward the 1.20 floor..

yes assets are all correlated due to the USD being the reserve currency, but What i am trying to establish is the USDX is good tool, but just a tool, it is not a leading indicator.........it is a result of same as looking at the 6 majors except here you have a weighted average leaning disproportionally towards the Euro side.


although correlations = net movement= strength of USD, let's not forget there is no perfect correlations.

Sometimes things are not in sync and individual economic factors can impact the currencies differently
