Nopes! There's not any peg for U/J, need for intervention arises because this pair is inching closer to hit the all time record low (post world war)... atm still 75 pips away from the record low..

HEY Guys,

Im not trading EUR/CHF but I work in Switzerland, and I live in France, so my salary depend of EUR/CHF rating.

Do you expect any intervention of SNB sooon?

Because I can block the rating with my bank for one year.
I was lucky last year I did it just before SNB peg EUR/CHF at 1.20.

I thinkin of doing it again with another part of my salary before SNB up the floor to 1.25 or 1.30.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel one major mind f*** coming up.If you look at the open position ratios from different brokers, the E/C is 80% long to 20% short, it has been so for the past 2 weeks , and yet this damn thing just keeps hedging closer and closer to Armageddon line.With so many risking so much /standing to make so much,makes me wonder if the SNB will be the greatest distributor of wealth or the greatest con man.

Although this is the incorrect thread, BOJ intervenes some time after you give up all hope. So don't play this until around April. Further, they intervene at ever lower levels. I'll get excited when it breaks 75.

Like you said there are big boys pushing this down, all the longs are with retail traders hoping for a few easy bucks. We only represent 8% of FX so are a small fish in all this, doubt SNB give a s**t about us, they will need to be seen to keep the peg

And that's how this world works!
If someone here would say he's going short on EURCHF with price under 1.2050, I think everyone would say he's insane. But the truth is that still there are more shorts than longs as this pair goes lower and lower.
How is it possible? I mean - who dares going short on this pair at this point??!!

lets see whats next to come.. more SNB news? i didnt hear anything yet for this starting week. approximation 2 weeks more to rely on previous news.. otherwise E/C will resume it's down trend.. technically, it's getting lower in weekly charts.. no sign of 1.2 lines defense.. time will tell..

Breaking 75 like dream comes true... i remember the last time when it was around 75.65 there was lots of noise all over that this pair is gonna break 75 very soon and relying on those noises i know personally many peoples who were packing their bags for buy opportunity below 75 bt that never happened. Those f**g news that time kept many traders away from grabbing golden opportunity of being part of intervention..... bt let see what wl happen this time...

imho, based on risk per reward.. i would say, buying @ 1.2041 is safe .. with tight SL @ 1.2000 or 1.1970 .. price seems to stop lowering @ 1.2041.. lets see..

can't believe we reached 4.5 month lows. snb can't even get in the same direction as where their own finance minister says it should and will go. I think they should stop watching their weed grow and go to work. just my 2 cents.

If they do it right, it should just go up and down a bit and not move all that much at the end. usdchf will fly up though.

A few month ago SNB say that the normal value for EUR/CHF are 1.5xxx and they will make an unlimited intervency when EUR / CHF reach 1.2xxx will SNB prove their speak>?

I don't think SNB can afford to stay in this range for more than a couple more days. They are attracting big buyers here with whom they will only have to fight off later. They also can't afford the stop loss chain reaction (someone say nuclear bomb).
